“We are on the cusp of a new era”
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Sunday made tackling climate change one of her key goals were she to enter the White House, pledging to have more than half a billion solar panels installed nationwide by the end of her first term in office.
Clinton also called for a major increase in other renewable-energy sources, saying she wants every U.S. home to be powered by clean energy within a decade, reports Reuters.
“I want more wind, more solar, more advanced biofuels, more energy efficiency,” she said at a weekend rally in Iowa. “And I’ve got to tell you, people who argue against this are just not paying attention.”
The two goals were unveiled in a video posted to Clinton’s campaign website Sunday, and are part of a comprehensive agenda on climate change that will be laid out over the next few months.

Nuclear power plants are pollution free. They produce none of the dreaded greenhouse gases. Why don’t liberals such as Hillary ever talk about expanding nuclear power????

Ya, that crazy Jane Fonda movie.
I remember that movie was in theaters at the time of the Three Mile Island nuclear accident. Jane couldn’t have timed it better.
I have to go back and review the events of Three Mile Island in 1979, but as I recall, the reactor shut down as it was designed to do in event of an accident. There was no leak of radiation. There was no increase in cancers or other health issues in the immediate vicinity of Three Mile Island.
Chernobyl (sp?) was a different accident altogether. But the Soviets did not have the safeguards we have in our nuclear plants.
So it sounds as if the liberals are compelling us to make energy policy based on a Jane Fonda movie. is this correct?
