Why the GOP Should Stop Worrying and Learn to Love The Donald

For all the fretting about Trump turning the debates into a clown show and what the GOP can do about it, you can bet that the audience for Thursday's tilt will be, to borrow a Trumpism, unprecedented.

Consider that the first GOP debate in the 2012 cycle got nearly 3.3 million viewers and that the most-watched debate got 7.6 million. Now consider that the most recent season of "Celebrity Apprentice" averaged 7.6 million viewers (and that's a fraction of the 20.7 million viewers it drew in its first season). How big will the audience be for Thursday's debate? You've got to figure that the Trump factor will both maximize the usual politically engaged audience – both GOPers who would be inclined to watch any and Democrats who want to enjoy the train wreck – and will also mean that there will be crossover among casual viewers who wouldn't ordinarily care about a primary debate but will tune in just to watch Trump the performance artist. I would be surprised if Thursday's debate doesn't beat any of the 2012 affairs.

In this case the Trump bump could be, ahem, huge. The provocateur might as well demand that the Republican National Committee pay him for his name as this will forever be known as the Trump debate. (Those of us in commentary business can only hope it'll be known as the first Trump debate.)

And this is the opportunity Trump has created for the GOP: People will come for Trump but most of the time they'll get everyone else. "In a 90-minute debate with 10 candidates, Mr. Trump's speaking time is unlikely to reach 10 minutes," the Times story estimates.

The collective group of “Republican” should at least recognize their loyalty to Republicans as elected governing politicians is badly misplaced.

We suffered through eight years of a compassionate conservative who did an excellent job with terrorism and protecting us, but also one who failed miserably here on the home front with spending, dealing with our enemies, the Democrats. Insult to injury, this man CREATED DHS and the TSA! I need say no more, frankly.

We continued the madness with selecting John McCain as warrior of our values and freedom, only to get Obama the Evil. Four years later, we installed something called a “Mitt” as our champion. Well, that’s what I call “hitting bottom.”

The bare fact of it is conventional Republican rule (our GOP leaders) is our enemy. There are many of the current slate of candidates who are rank and file in it, just with a different pickup line. Still queasy; quisling; quibbling; dissemblers, liars and cheats.

All Trump has to do to get even more air time is speak to a gaggle of press drones after the debate.

He can follow-up on any issues he likes and the press will stand there and take it.

As far as I can tell...Trump, Cruz, and Walker are the only ones in this group who have accomplished anything. The debate should be between them only IMO!

Trump will have the opportunity to smile a bit, look Presidential
and you can bet he has been debate prepping.

He is tall. About 6’5”.

He will be towering over Bush and Walker, who will be on both sides
of him.

However, make no mistake. If he is attacked, he will drop the hammer.

.

The 2016 GOP Candidate Field better get ready for a can of Donald Trump "Whoop Ass" ...

Why ?

The "conventional" MSM wisdom is that Trump entered the race on a whim ... and will simply continue his bombastic style at the first Fox News GOP Presidential Debate next Thursday.

That's a recipie for disaster for the other GOP Candidates.

Consider this.

Trump's new book will be released next Thursday (August 6, 2015) .... which means that Trump made the "presidential run decision" OVER A YEAR AGO ... to get a book written, edited and published in 365 days.

Indeed, Trump probably had to start the book project at least 18 months ago.

Fast forward to the "politically predictable" first GOP Presidential Debates on Fox News.

Trump has had between 12 and 18 months to secretly prepare for this game-chaning debate.

His opponents are all looking for "silver bullet" to nail Trump in the debate, to salvge their own struggling campaigns.

So how does Donald Trump prepare ?

Get 12 months of the BEST POSSIBLE briefings on foreign policy, military readiness, economic status, Common Core, Planned Parenthood, illegal immigration crime stats, ISIL, Israel, Export-Import bank, TPA-TTP ... the works ...

and if-when a John Kasich / Mike Huckabee type tries to nail Trump on a "technical question" ... Trump blasts them with both barrels with facts and statistics of his own ...

just like a "legitimate" U.S. Presidential Candidate is expected to.

Moreover, Trump has (probably) already secretly created a special campaign website (to be announced at the debate) with an easy simple-to-remember name like "AmericanVictory'org" (as an example).

Fifty million (50,000,000) GOP voter internet visits later ... Trump will have spelled-out (with pictures and quick two minute videos) his "detailed" approach to a dozen different national issues.

Trumps' GOP debate opponents have neither the brains, vision or MONEY to do all that ... except perhaps Ted Cruz.

Finally ... "Yeb Bush" is taken down by Trump with the simple question:

How can you call "immigration an act of love" when 7,567 Americans have been vrutally assaulted, raped, and murdered by illegal immigrants over the last XX years ?

Godspeed Ted Cruz and Donald Trump !

I think this current book is a reprinting (and re-branding) of a book he had already published in 2011 IIRC.

Breitbart - One Voice Silenced, Millions Awakened 45 mins

The Trump candidacy has revealed just how inaccurate, deceptive, and misleading, the flow of information we receive is..It is truly, proof of concept, that what they are feeding us is not a gauge of what of the majority of Americans feel about the issues.

By misinforming, and distorting, the reality they are able to project false realities, thus controlling outcomes.

For example, as pertains to Trump, had he been anyone else, he would have capitulated in the wake of the "false realities" and contrived stories.

We would have never know what the people really think.. By standing, not capitulating Trump has allowed us to see the magnitude of deception, and the hidden agendas they propagate.

We have never seen this before, at least I have not in my lifetime.

This is what is so confounding the propagandist media, political elites..Here is a poll from today that gauged Hispanic voters..You can see it is the opposite of what we have been told..

POLL: Trump Leads GOP Field In Among Hispanics, Records 34% Favorability..Closest To Trump Is Bush at 27%..others lag substantially behind.

See what happens when you speak truth??

Lil Jebbie can’t be more than about 5’7”. With Trump next to him he will appear small in so many ways.

We will continue to select the worst candidate from a crowded field as long as the primaries are structured the way they are. In one election in Louisiana, KKK Wizard, David Duke was the Republican candidate for governor because of the same phenomenon. A bunch of quality candidates siphoned votes from each other while a looney candidate got the biggest vote (not a majority) by capturing all of the looney voters.

A possible fix for this anomaly is giving voters a choice to vote FOR a candidate or voting AGAINST a candidate. McCain and Romney were so hated that we never would have been saddled with them if negative votes had been an option.

Will the Stupid Party ever fix this problem? I doubt it.

Ten candidates - 90 minutes equals a beauty contest, a video resume.

No one will have time to talk substantive issues or argue with each other.

Trump, hopefully, will be polite & business like, sticking to his favorite issues & throwing a few zingers at Obama & the Rats.. He can criticize his opponents after the debates for their poor performance or weakness right along with everybody else.

If Thursday’s debate does anything it will weed out some lower tier candidates.
