What I think of Donald Trump/Ted Cruz...

I think that US Senator Jesse Helms would have been more than proud of both men.

We need more Jesse Helmses in the Senate. Sadly, what we are getting increasingly more of are Mitch McConnells.

Helms would have recognized Trump for the snake-in-the-grass that he is.

That actually might not be such a bad thing.

If the country continues at this pace people like DT who have built a fortune or even those in the middle class who have property and a large nest egg could lose everything.

If that’s his motivation then all Americans will benefit not just DT.

Oh Please - Hillary? Absolutely not. Jeb, Rubio, Huckabee, Paul - no way.

Ted Cruz for sure or Fiorino if they have a spitwad's chance..

But Donald Trump for sure instead of four more years of Clintons/liberals.

You're fired, baby!

Yes, that is true, but that is what makes him the perfect antidote to the socialist spending and fascist cronyism.

Not all snakes are totally bad.

Here’s how I am thinking of Trump. I am a supporter of Ted Cruz, flat out. I want him to win the nomination, and am praying for that end. I could vote for Trump, but I’d have these concerns:

He voted for Hillary in 2000 for the NY senate seat.
He gave a lot to the Clinton foundation
He is pro-abortion, or was, and I’m not totally convinced that he has had a true change of heart.
He is pro-amnesty, although his current position is not in favor...purely populist in his talk about it now
I don’t trust him in a face off debate with Hilary. I do not want to see a repeat of the Romney/Obama debates.

I think he could bring a lot of good ideas for growing the economy, but if he wavered because of democrat pushback, he’d turn out to be worthless.

Ted Cruz has made it clear he is pro-life,
He wants to abolish the IRS
He wants to return to states the decisions for education that suits the state’s population, and I concur. Those states who poorly perform would lose clientele quickly, as parents move their kids to better-performing states.
Ted Cruz is anti-amnesty. I know he realizes that there is going to be a lot of difficulty on what we do with those already here, but he sees dealing with the situation while HALTING the flow of more illegals into the country. First you have to stop it altogether, then you can decide more effectively what the next steps are.
He has an astute legal mind and clear understanding of the US Constitution. This is as good as you get, in my opinion. He is not out to use it corruptly, as the present admin is. There are other things, but I did not intend to write a book.

Well, if the USA goes down, Trump goes down. He doesn’t want either to go down.
