Donald Trump thinks reader polls on Drudge Report and Time Magazine should carry more weight in judging public reaction to Thursdays GOP presidential debate than a Fox News panel that ran immediately after the debate.
Speaking with Don Lemon live on CNN on Friday night, Trump lauded his winning performance in reader polls asking who won the debate, particularly the poll run by Drudge Report.
Im not saying I won, Im just telling you polls that came out from Drudge, he said. Whats better than Drudge? Hes a fantastic guy. What hes built is unbelievably respected.
The Drudge Report poll asked readers who won the debate. Trump led with 45 percent of the vote. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) came in second with 14 percent, and no other candidate had more than 11 percent support.
Trump also cited coverage by Time Magazine, the New York Times and the Washington Post that he said showed him as the victor.
In contrast, the businessman panned a focus group run by pollster Frank Luntz immediately after the debate on Fox News.
Trump said Luntz kept calling him, trying to convince the candidate to do business with Luntz.
I told him no. And now every time I see a poll, its negative, he said. The guys a lightweight.

I thought Fox was deeply unfair to Trump.
They tried to ISOLATE him from the very beginning.
Considering that effort, I think Trump ended up fairing very well.
Fox News Couldnt Kill Trumps Momentum and May Have Only Made It Stronger

So the polls are good if they show him winning, but lousy if he’s losing, LOL.
“They tried to ISOLATE him from the very beginning.”
Isn’t that one of the tactics used by Leftists per Alinsky’s, “Rules For Radicals”?

Remember when Drudge was hated less than 4 years ago because FReepers claimed he was pro Romney (along with Anne Coulter)
That was the most fabricated deceptive thing I've seen in years. This is certainly not a news network.
Several on-line polls show remarkably consistent results:

Obese guy with good software.
Bad sampling...
no
I Remember Coulter sucking Romney eggs.
Drudge links to articles.
“The Drudge Report poll asked readers who won the debate. Trump led with 45 percent of the vote. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) came in second with 14 percent, and no other candidate had more than 11 percent support.”
That just happened!
And FReepers still hated Drunge for linking to articles they didn’t like.
I switched from Fox News ( actually, never had a subscription with them in the first place ) to OANN network.
Bush is looking great in all those polls. :)
