I think the GOPe is pushing Carly and still pushing Jeb.

Could be. Jeb bombed at the debate and the GOPe needs a back up plan. Carly, liberal as she is, did well so she may be that plan.

I think it’s a combination of several things.

Perry is a big wheel in Texas, but he hasn’t been able to transfer his political savvy to a national audience. Part of the reason is that he’s been in Texas politics for a long time and never vaulted to the House or Senate to garner national attention.

After LBJ and GWB, folks are probably tired of considering another Texan for President.

Perry was part of Bush’s administration as and folks are certainly tired of hearing about the Bushes, however tangentially.

“He was fair as Texas Governor.”

No, he was a crony of the lowest order. Gardasil? Really?

Last election cycle I told several people to wait and watch Perry run against Cornyn.

He would have won.

Then, he could use being a Senator to face time the Sunday shows over these last two years and run for President as both a successful Gov and current Sen

That path was wide open for him. Had he taken it, he’d be a top tier candidate right now.

Mind you, I’m not particularly a Perry fan, but there would be almost no room for both Texas Senators to run for President and Sen. Perry would have locked up the money men in Texas in a way that former Gov. “Oops” couldn’t.

The GOPe wound have gladly promoted Sen Perry pushing Sen Cruz aside.

Jeb “fought” by asking those who wanted to kill Terri not to kill her. (Just as the pro-life movement in general has followed the strategy of trying to persuade the government that wants to kill babies to change its mind.)

But when it was time for Jeb, himself, to intervene and rescue her from being murdered, he his under his desk. The top law-enforcement officer of the State of Florida, with all the cops in the state and the National Guard at his command, claimed he didn’t have the power to save her life. It took days for her to die of dehydration.

Terri was not dying. She was murdered. And Jeb hid while the murder was carried out.

Which happens to be what ALL FIFTY GOVERNORS have done for 42 years while 58 million babies have been murdered.

RE> It is now between Cruz and Trump

I truly hope it is now between Jeb and Trump for a while.
I would like to see Trump wear down Jeb every day for weeks on end while Ted builds his momentum.

How much longer is the Chamber going to prop him up? He was pathetic against Trump, so now they’ve turned to Car-lie to bash him instead.
