Is he right? New York Times reporter says Rush forced Fox News to back down on Trump and invite him back on air after Megyn Kelly flap.

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

"here were two institutions that could have put a stop to Trump, talk radio and Fox. And talk radio likes him and Fox backed down."

Why should any institution be trying to "put a stop" to Trump? He's got as much a right to run as anyone and right now he seems pretty popular.

Take with a grain of salt anything New York Times reporters say or anyone on MSDNC. Who is this kid anyways?

Misleading title, as the two lefty journos ended up agreeing the obvious—that Roger backed down for Fox’s own best interest.

Along the way, they say that talk radio and Drudge are, after Roger and Fox, the most powerful forces in news from the right. Again, only the obvious.

He’s a freaking moron. You know made Fox back down? Advertisers. Fox pulled in 24 million viewers and the advertisers went wild with excitement. And everyone knows over half those numbers came from Trump being on the show.

Trump knew it and Ailes knew it.

Then Trump went on his rants about Fox to push Ailes to hear from the advertisers about how Fox better not let Trump boycott the network. Ailes had to go to Trump hat-in-hand and ask for a reconciliation. Publically.

Trump uses leverage to get his way.

Nicolas Confessore needs to get out of his socialist understanding of news and media if he doesn’t understand advertising dollars rule 99% of decisions.

Mister Confes-score is so afraid of having the liberal scum think he knows anything about Rush that he makes sure he mispronounces his name. What an ash hole!

According to reporting from CNN’s Brian Stelter, Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes threatened to “got to war” with Donald Trump unless he toned down his criticisms of Fox News and anchor Megyn Kelly.

Stelter reports that the weekend after the debate, Ailes and Trump were engaged in behind-the-scenes talks. Trump wanted an apology from Kelly’s pointed questions, while Ailes wanted Trump to stop the pointed and sexist attacks on one of his anchors.

While they made progress, Ailes reportedly went ballistic on Monday when Trump said on MSNBC that Kelly owed him an apology. We “can resolve this now,” Ailes reportedly said in their last phone call, “or we can go to war.”

Both men reportedly reached an understanding that neither would offer an apology, and that the feud was over.

NYT Reporter: Rush Forced Fox to Back Down on Trump”

Nope. Donald Trump's high poll ratings and even more importantly, high TV ratings forced Fox to back down. Roger Ailes wasn't going to sit idly by while Trump continued to appear on CNN everyday while boycotting Fox, and end up taking TV ratings away from Fox.

I believe Roger Ailes was instrumental in putting Rush on the air nationally in 1988. Perhaps Rush still has his ear.

I am spared the need to think by simply always doing what Rush says.

Rush thinks for me, this way I avoid pain and confusion.
