Trump is the first man since Reagan who defies the MSM and he ađitionally tells them to stick it up their southern vortex, loudly and with a grin. People like that in a candidate..

Donald Trump cannot even rely on support from some of the self-ordained outsider tea party conservative leaders, who have stood lockstep with GOP party leaders in denouncing the real estate mogul.
With a single exception: Ted Cruz.

I think Trump’s popularity comes from three places:
1 - He’s saying things that a lot of people agree with
2 - He’s more famous - has higher “name recognition”, a higher “Q” score - than the entire Republican field AND Democrat field combined.
3 - He absolutely refuses to cower in the face of attacks, indeed he has the ability to stay on offense constantly

Hes a billionaire who has a penchant for shooting off his mouth, putting his name on buildings, being a media darling/villain, and marrying beautiful women. If he just had an invincible metal suit that he could fly around in, he would be Tony Stark.
Ok, but let’s give Ted Cruz a captain America sheild and Ben carson a Nick Fury eye patch.

Would that make
Rand Paul = Bruce Banner (he hulked out on stage)
Carly Fiorina = Black Widow (deadly but shady past)
Scott Walker = Hawkeye (good targeting)
Bibi Netanyahu = Thor (not from the planet, but helps when he can)

No, no no.
Sarah Palin = Black Widow. After all she can see has a Russian name.

During the afternoon yesterday a coworker -- one who definitely voted for Obama twice, and who was pleased in 2008 because "we" had the "choice" during the primary season between a woman and a black -- started up a conversation about The Rug, and she's quite fired up by his candor and the way he's been shaking things up. I'm still for Cruz, and would love to see a Cruz-Trump ticket, with Donald as the VP and eventual wheeling-dealing Prez ProTem of the Senate.

The Don appeals to a lot of Democrats. A LOT of Democrats for the same reasons (some) people around here find him distasteful. Wow. He could actually do it.

It’s true. Most voters (despite complaints to the contrary, including some of mine) spend most of their lives walking on the white line down the middle of the road. It’s easy to forget that when, for example, a thug gets elected to the Senate, and before his term is up, to the White House, and then reelected.

Trump will make Cruz look good to those who don’t much care for Trump, and the fact that Trump is only up for the VP spot will mean his spot on the ticket won’t be a dealbreaker for those who really dislike him.

In the VP spot, Trump would draw more women to the ticket than Fiorina would in either spot (and I’d consider her VP at best). And Ben Carson for Surgeon General.

Mr. Trump has no natural constituency of political support except regular old innocent American voters who are sick and tired of all of it and want professional politicians tossed out the whole lot of them. If Trump can show other talented Americans they can run for office WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE POLITICAL CONSULTANT CLASS the world will change for the better.
It's greedy controlling political consultants that are ruining the country.
