The Hill ^ | September 13, 2015 | Peter Schroeder

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) said Sunday that congressional Republicans shouldn’t shut down the government over funding for Planned Parenthood.

Kasich, the GOP presidential candidate who was a top House Republican during the shutdown of 1995, said the approach pushed by conservatives has no clear path of success.

A government which uses taxpayer dollars to fund a private business trafficking in human body parts (without consent of that human, parent, or guardian) deserves to be shut down.

Let’s see? If the House and Senate GOP propose and vote on a budget that is stalled because of unified Democrat opposition to a single provision in that budget, how exactly is that the same as the Republicans “pushing for a a government shutdown?”

The GOPe can’t help but swallow the bait...

He and others who blame the GOP for any “shutdown” in spite of the fact that only the dems are promising a shutdown ARE a major portion of the problem.

If the Republicans bring up a bill to defund Planned Parenthood and the Dems filibuster it whose fault is that?

If the Republicans pass a bill to defund Planned Parenthood and Obama vetoes it whose fault is that?

Kasich is placing the blame based on the Dems view that since the Pubbies know whet the Dems will do (filibuster and veto) then they are at fault.

This is from MSM Logic 101. It is also complete nonsense. Kasich is an idiot.

I suggest we listen to what Trump and Cruz recommend and just do it. Let the chips fall where they may, presumably on McConnell and Boehner.

Shutting down the government over a one issue is self-defeating because PP will get the money from us via a back door.

In the meantime, let the states do what they can to stop PP.

They have to be stopped...I agree.

Everyone has access to a doctor for female issues, thanks to Obamacare.

PP is a duplicate service with a sideline that is both immoral and has been unaccountable for their "parts" distribution. How come it took so long to come out??

Go back to go on PP. It should be totally dismantled.

Kasich is a disgrace. He thinks the Supreme makes laws. He thinks we can live with Roe v. Wade—and that it is law. He’s for amnesty. Now he’s for funding abortions.

He should be a mailman.

[Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) said Sunday that congressional Republicans shouldn’t shut down the government over funding for Planned Parenthood.]

Gov. Kasich,

How many thousands of innocent babies will be tortured and dissected under what is likely the criminal enterprise of Planned Parenthood?

Your callous sentiments concerning LIFE is reason enough to give you the boot as a Presidential candidate and Governor as well.

Politicians like Gov. Kasish have brought America to its knees. Shame on you. Respect LIFE.

Does he really think the Republicans would shut the government down? If he does he’s hallucinating and totally unfit to be president.

But you’re right. He’s a white flag waver.

Kasich is JEB2.0. A gOpee stooge Plan B if Jeb!Jeb? goes down. Just as bad, and French, as J f'ng K.

And Kasich ... for the record ... 1) a shutdown is not a bad thing, and 2) if it happens, it's the unreasonable democRATs that did it.

if they didn’t lump all these bills together it would be easy to defund these things. It’s corruption at it’s finest.

What does “government shutdown” even MEAN? Oh, there are threats that Grandma won’t get her Social Security check, and the school teachers and firemen and policemen will be furloughed, and that mail won’t be delivered. If there is a huge blowup because everyday services cannot operate, due to total government collapse, all these things are going to happen anyway.

“My way or the highway” only makes sense when there IS a highway to take as the alternative. When the highway is non-existent or so badly damaged as to be impassable, “my way” is just destructive and with no redeeming social, financial or moral value whatsoever.

He started off running for Vice President under Jeb Bush by showing he's a strong draw in the Midwest as a candidate that can appeal moderate voter because his views are in the “mainstream” in other words media approved. He sees Bush now starting to go down and is thinking he could be the guy which is why he is sending signals to the GOPe and Cheap Labor that he can to be counted on if they want to start to send the cash his way. Here in Ohio he ran right and as soon as he got in started governing left to show the national media that he's “grown.” He just another in a line of crap Republicans that we've had to suffer through like Mike Dewine,Bob Taft, George Voinovich, and of course everyones favorite turd in the punch bowel John Bohner.

Pubbies are not shutting down government, Obama is the culprit and it needs to get out for public knowledge.
