Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would impose a 35% tax on any cars made in Mexico to keep companies from moving out of the US.

And the auto parts manufacturers in the U.S. supplying these plants fold. Sounds like a plan to me.
Dude, get with the program. Capitalism is so last year here lately.
So much for Congress
Unions would love it.
What we really need is someone who will make the trains run on time.
Now, waiting for the ... well, you know ... to start bleating.
Companies that want to close plants and lay off American workers should be hit with steep taxes, fines and sanctions.
If they want to move, let’s make it expensive for them.
The second coming of Herbert Hoover
Yeah, and that’s one of the problems I have with Trump. He doesn’t seem to grasp the whole structure of power thingy.
We’re not producing anything any more.
Everything is imported from China.
No wonder they run budget surpluses and we run budget deficits.
The Uniparty has destroyed the manufacturing backbone that made America great.
Obviously, you have no idea how Reagan advanced so many of his pet projects, with a Democrat Congress.
Trump will use the bully pulpit as it was intended. If a do noting Congress won’t get with the plan and pass meaningful legislation that the public supports, then the bully pulpit is engaged to go right over their heads, directly to the people.
I’m sure he has no illusions that it will be an overnight process, but can you imagine if he is he nominee and continues going straight to the people, consider the wave of non-establishment primary victories that are in the wings as we speak. He will have coat tails, very long ones. It could have a larger effect on Congress than did the 2010 elections.
Maybe that alone is why the establishment pukes are so scared. Every Congress critter is up for re-election at the same time along with 1/3 of the Senate. Can you imagine if an organized effort to model the David Brat model were employed?

Have you stopped by your local Wal-mart lately?
Never mind the NAFTA treaty, right?

Karl Marx supported Free Trade.
What does that tell you?
China is a hollow shell waiting to collapse.
They have built cities full of empty buildings.
They have extraordinarily high suicide rates.
They have a national debt that rivals our own.
Sure they export a ton of stuff by devaluing their currency and keeping their people poor.
Not a great plan for the future IMO.
That is, if I understood your comment that he cannot do it without Congress.
