The Marines made it known this week that they see the idea of women in combat as a disaster waiting to happen. That contrasts sharply with how the Army has approached the topic. It puts the Pentagon in a potentially tough spot.
Washington — This week, the Marine Corps left very little doubt about its view of women in its combat ranks: It does not want them.
A study by the corps released Thursday painted a bleak picture of the effectiveness of women in combat, suggesting they are weaker, more prone to injury, less adept at shooting weapons accurately, and their presence was a potential catastrophe for unit morale.
The day before, an opinion article penned by a retired Marine Corps general suggested that the “mysterious chemistry that forms in an infantry unit” included “clearing the urinals” and “nights of hilarious debauchery” – precluding women.

I disagree; it is about deliberately destroying combat readiness while also destroying traditional ways of viewing the roles of men and women. The ultimate goal is the destruction of Western Civilization.

I am for it. Women want equality. Give it to them 100%. And sign up those 18 year old girls for selective service. Parents of boys should sue if that inequality is not corrected.

The issue that nobody talks about is this: How many women even want to be in combat jobs?
From my experience in the military, not many at all.
I would say there is a very small percentage of women that want to be in the Infantry.
Almost all women in the Army join up to be a medic or a supply clerk, because that's the kind of stuff women like.
If that was the case, then wouldn’t Obama be pushing his daughters to join the Infantry?
As a matter of fact, Obama doesn’t seem to have the females in his family do much of anything except travel and shop.
He talks socialism and acts like FATHER KNOWS BEST.

Women can be crack shots and other military talents. Sharpshooters, snipers, etc.
There should be women who can fill these ‘combat’ roles.
Especially the tomboy types - and I mean tomboy - nothing else.
There are numerous reasons to keep women OUT of combat, however, and the one I’m going with is that if/when a woman may be hit, her male counterpart would most likely put himself in jeopardy because of the (probably) ingrained reaction to shield a female, and to attempt to haul her out of the area instead of staying and fighting.
Guess what may happen to them both while he’s doing this - ??
