If frontrunner Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination, one of the biggest names in the Republican Establishment, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, says he “doubts” he would support the Democrat in a general election but would “support getting someone good on the ballot as a third party candidate.”
“I doubt I’d support Donald. I doubt I’d support the Democrat,” Kristol told CNNMoney via email. “I think I’d support getting someone good on the ballot as a third party candidate.”

Two late. This is mere psy war. It would be doomed from the start.
After the first win of BHO the very strongest voice yelling, “The era of Reagan is OVER” was Bill Kristol.
Why? Because he's been so inspirational?
If Jeb loses the nomination, he's toast.
Bloomberg has enough money that he could jump right in.
But he probably favors Hillary.

There isn’t even a third party candidate right now. But it’s good to know they will get one vote.
So the base must hold their noses for the RINO nominee at all costs, but if the conservative wins (See O’Donnell in DE in 2010) then it’s sour grapes.

What he’s saying is he’d back a spoiler to try to keep the presidency from Trump and hand it over to the Democrats instead. He knows a third party candidate isn’t going to win.
Jebbie must have thought if all else failed, he could still depend on his native TX and his adopted FL to get him the nomination. And maybe CA and IL thrown in too

Kristol is full of crap. If the GOP nominates a candidate he doesn’t support, he’s voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Bank on it.

I expected this. At this point it is a THREAT to try to get us to bend over and take it, yet again.
When next year comes, I definitely expect The Establishment to try to throw the election to Biden, as they will do MUCH BETTER if the Dems win, than if Trump wins.
So kristol is willing to turn Jeb into the 21st century Perot?
Easy comment, who cares? Why wait Bill? Start a third party yourself because Donald Trump is not going away.
It will be like France a few years back when LePen knocked out Jospin, the Socialist Party candidate, and the entire political Establishment backed Chirac in the run-off to keep LePen out.
Washingtonians who don't back Hillary (or Biden) are probably just going to lay low until the election's over. They aren't going to mount a third party campaign that could help Trump.
If you're Bill Kristol and you're saying you're not going to back Trump, you can talk third party now as your way of striking out at Donald Trump, but if Trump is the nominee, you're going to be in real trouble and have a really difficult decision to make.
