Sorry but that’s your OPINION. Right now the only facts available are that it clearly looks like a clock. We have no information at all that it was any kind of deliberate “encounter”, that’s pure supposition. All we know is he kit bashed a clock, and took it to school and people freaked out.

What part of “appeal to unconfirmed authority” is so hard for you to understand? I just linked you to many many pictures of disassembled clocks that look just like what this kid brought. Meanwhile you linked to a bunch of pictures of bombs that don’t look anything like what this kid brought.

Who cares what they look like disassembled....people don’t sit around home and take apart clocks to see how they run... but they do know that bombs use timers sufficient enough that if one is in a suitcase it should , and was, investigated further.
