C’mon. The cream of the elites cannot mix with the common folk.
I’d like to know the stats for our Congresscritter’s kids.
I see this as a hit piece against any and all competition to the government school system.
Get YOUR children out of the government indoctrination centers - NOW!
Is it good or bad that we’ve heard so little from this guy over seven years?
What a surprise.
Bill Ayers and the whole Chicago Annenberg Challenge worked to design a program to turn all of America's children into socialist robots who can't read, spell, write, do math or think coherently, but can spout every slogan invented by Che and Marx.
With dripping sarcasm: who would willfully put their children into that sort of situation?
Not Arne and not Barry.
Not exactly close-by; but New Trier HS in Winnetka would be an excellent choice.
On the other hand; he could send his kids to DuSable HS, in the middle of the Robert Taylor Homes.
I've been in both schools. The biggest difference isn't the Dollars-Spent-per-Student; as some would have you believe.
The difference is in the attitudes of the students and their parents.
A few years ago, the students at New Trier HS voted to eliminate lunch period, so they could take an extra academic class during the school day.
During the same time period, while hundreds of students were enrolled at DuSable HS, only a couple dozen would actually show up each day.
Do the math.
“a pattern among public policy-makers and influential philanthropists who push specific school reforms such as charter schools, the elimination of teacher tenure, Common Core, and evaluation of teachers by test scores yet send their own children to private schools that do none of these things. Bill Gates, for example, who funded the creation of the Common Core, sent his children to private school.”
Even worse are the Dem politicians (in the pocket of the teachers’ unions) who insist public education is just fine. At least these people above push reforms (thereby acknowledging it doesn’t work).
