Donald Trump and Ben Carson are running neck and neck in the national Republican presidential horserace, while Carly Fiorina is now tied for third place with Marco Rubio, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
And on the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton has lost ground to Bernie Sanders — she leads him by just seven points with Joe Biden in the race, and 15 points without the vice president. That's down from Clinton's 34-point lead over Sanders in July and her whopping 60-point lead in June.
In the GOP race, Trump is the first choice of 21 percent of Republican primary voters — followed by Carson at 20 percent and Rubio and Fiorina tied at 11 percent each.

The field is narrowing. More candidates will dropout soon.
There will be a military event, shooting, maybe a boat sunk or aircraft shot down, Ben Carson intelligent as he is will make comments to a sort of not being combative enough, sane, precise comments of course, but the people of America have blood in their eyes, and when they hear Carson talking nice, very nice stuff they will immediately diss him, reject him and turn to a person who demands blood.

A new poll by Zogby Analytics shows Donald Trump expanding his lead on the GOP field. Trump garnered 33 percent of the vote 20 points up on Dr. Ben Carson. NBC 26 reported, via Free Republic:
A new poll conducted by Zogby Analytics after last week’s Republican presidential debate on CNN shows Donald Trump leading Dr. Ben Carson by 20 points.
According to the survey, conducted September 18-19, made up of 405 likely Republican primary/caucus voters nationwide, Trump garnered the support of 33 percent, which is an increase of 2 percentage points since Zogby’s previous poll. Dr. Ben Carson remains in second place, but dropped 3 points to 13 percent.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s support stayed flat at 9 percent, while support for former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has grown from 2 percent to 7 percent.
The new poll shows Texas Senator Ted Cruz at 5 percent, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Ohio Governor John Kasich all at 4 percent. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stands at 3 percent.
The recent Zogby poll is in contrast to a post-debate CNN/ORC poll showing Trump losing support, but still maintaining the top spot in the Republican field. In that survey, Trump garnered 24 percent support, down 8 points from earlier in September.

Can you tell us who they sampled? I can’t get it because I will never subscribe. The issue to look for is — Did the sample include Democrats and Republican NUT intending to NOT is the primary or the caucus. In their sample description they say “ Republicans” . That is no good. For example in the CNN poll they admitted to 40% Democrat participation and “Republicans” you have a distortion because that is not the sample you need.
Second, I would like to say that Dr Carson is a nice man who has had a great career in pediatric brain surgery. I have no ill will for him and it is his prerogative to run but he has no clue about running this country— cutting spending, rebuilding the military,abolishing horrible trade deal,ordering the EPA to shut down with his pen, building the WAll with Mexico and removing the illegal aliens. He has never run anything which puts him ever with Fiarino because she never has successful run antything either.
I would say Kasich and Rubio are picking up Bush supporters and are splintering the GOPe votes. I really wish Cruz would pick up steam, and I think he will pick up a lot of Carson and Fiorina supporters should they falter.
Santorum has moved into the “just stroking his own ego” camp along with Gilmore and Pataki at this point. The money issue says that those three should be gone already.
Jindal will go back to work on his re-election in Louisiana soon and Paul will go home to preserve his Senate seat.
Christie likes being on stage and will make at least one more debate. If Rubio starts bouncing into the double digits in more polls, Kasich might be benched by his supporters.
The next debate won’t have a kids table and will be Trump, Carson, Fiorina, Rubio, Cruz, Bush, Christie, Kasich, and Huckabee. The others won’t get invited.
Ben Carson’s extreme weakness on illegal immigration has caused me to cross him off my dance card, for president or vice-president.
If we don’t do something to stop the illegal alien invasion and end birthright citizenship, America is over and done with.
I’m sorry for the glitch. Did the poll include republicans not intending to vote in the primaries or democrats? If it did then the poll is no good.

The methodologies they are trying to cook up in this modern day smart phone-driven world are just unable to capture the real state of things, IMHO.
What it's really about is the candidates, their messages, the voters' anger, and the crowds that are showing up.
By my estimation, Cruz and Trump are the frontrunners, as far as enthusiasm and breadth and depth of support.
For Ted Cruz in particular, I feel his support is deeper than many people imagine. Maybe that is reflected by factoring in "second choice" numbers on some of these polls; I don't know.
I expect Trump to continue attracting large crowds of enthusiastic supporters, which I think is a valid indicator of strength, and I also think Cruz's "steady wins the race" strategy will ultimately bear good fruit.
But seriesly, it's absolutely ludicrous that Ben Carson could be considered as somebody with either the executive experience or firmness to be President. I think he's one of the nicest and most humble people in the race, but I also believe he has no business running for President of the United States.
For Carson to be nearly tied with Trump, and well ahead of Cruz, the pollsters must have called a bunch of senior citizens who still have house phones, and who think Carson is a "very nice man".
And I think that angry voters, which are the vast majority this cycle, are the least likely to respond to polls at this point. And I think those voters are going to break strongly for Trump and/or Cruz.
Watch the crowds when candidates come to town, and the passion and word of mouth afterwards. That's where the reality is right now, not in these absolutely chaotic and contradictory polls.
Until pollsters figure out an accurate methodology and how to deal with the lack of residential phones, etc., I think it's total guesswork and the only polls that can be trusted are the ones where there's a voting booth.
It'll be a relief when the GOP voters actually start answering the polls that really matter, but that's still several months away, unfortunately.
Meanwhile, expect the media to do everything they can to manipulate public opinion against the anti-establishment candidates, and to tirelessly and cunningly prop up Clinton, Bush, and other weak mainstream candidates in an effort to cause the real threats to be diminished.
I sure hope Ted Cruz hangs in there during these tough months ahead, because when the primaries start, I think we'll see him gain ground, and I think Trump is in for the long run as well.
I just don't get Carson or Fiorina at all. I don't think either of them is even remotely viable in the long run, and so I expect the media to breathlessly promote both of them whenever they can manufacture or latch on to a tidbit of propaganda that helps them do so. Ditto for establishment darlings Clinton and Bush.
If those two absolute nothings (Bush and Clinton) end up running against each other, it'll be the most meaningless sham of a Presidential election in US history, IMHO.
If they work together, are they unstoppable for the nomination?

Anybody, at this stage of the game, who isn’t pulling at least 10% should drop out, but then that wouldn’t fit the meme.
Bush’s handlers will will keep him in even if he’s down to one percent, “just in case” one of their attacks/puppets gets traction and pulls Trump down.
Trump up, but lead shrank, mainly because Carson came up so much. I think this is still tracking with his Muslim comments.
Is the trend Donald Trump’s friend?
No.
If Donald Trump were a stock, it would be time to sell and Invest in more fast-moving stocks like Ben Carson’s, Carly Fiorina’s, or Marco Rubio’s.
In fact, since Donald Trump has moved up only 2% during the past two months of Trumpmania in the media, his stock would be the ideal candidate to sell short now that the media has moved on to other preoccupations.
Since when have the American people’s or the media’s attention spans ever lasted for more than two months?
