Donald Trump’s tax plan would cost a staggering $12 trillion over 10 years — despite his pledge not to increase the deficit, according to an analysis released Tuesday.

The Tax Foundation found that Trump’s changes to the individual tax code would reduce net revenues by about $10.14 trillion, after accounting for higher incomes due to an 11 percent jump in the gross domestic product.

The billionaire businessman’s corporate tax cuts also would bleed $1.54 trillion over the next decade, and his plan to dispense with the estate tax would cost $238 billion, the group said.

It will raise the deficit if spending is not cut.

If the correlation of forces results in Trump being elected, spending will be cut.

That’s the same windy predictions they made about Reagan’s tax cuts. At the end of Reagan’s 8 years, revenues had INCREASED 75%; well on their way to doubling. And the Reagan prosperty continued all through Clinton’s 8 years.

The libs credited Clinton with it, but none of which did he deserve. All HE ever did was raise taxes on the elderly’s Social Security. THAT is the quintessential picture of Bill Clinton’s heart. Well, that and multiple rapes and sexual play with a cigar.

If the Clintons couldn’t steal, coerce or acquire money by selling government influence, they’d STILL be flat broke.

Well, they haven’t created any, except government bureaucrat jobs, in the last 7 years. They haven’t because they can’t. They only thing the government produces is paper money. And the more they print, the less value it has.

Just because the current government hasn’t done something doesn’t mean that future governments are incapable of doing something. Obama and Co. believe that more government, more government regulations, and more government taxes are a recipe for job creation. They couldn’t be more wrong. You can’t weigh a car down unnecessarily and expect it to compete in a race.

“the government can do a lot to create jobs and economic prosperity”

By doing less. By getting out of the way.

The difference between analysis and spin is the set of facts you decide to work with.

Trumps plan generates more revenue.
Therefore, if you insist there will be higher deficits, you must be planning on higher spending.

I would toss the assumption that doing nothing because nothing new will be completely perfect is a viable solution to our current budget mess.

This is the mindset we have pursued for the last 45 years. It has lead us to the brink of fiscal ruin.

Reagan got out of the way of businesses - while Carter suppressed them.

Reagan reduced the weight of Government on the backs of wealth-producers. Government was in the way then - and it’s in the way now.

The only reason they wanted a plan was so they could start to find some view of it that they could present as a disaster, S.O.P.

I heard the communist on “60 Minutes” badgering Trump on “where is the money going to come from?”. I wish he had said:

“When I take office, all non-military pensions and benefits will be cancelled. All federal welfare programs will be terminated, as the states can handle it, and all block-grants will be scrutinized and heavily monitored.”

“Next question”.

If the government can kill jobs, and it undeniably does, then it can create them too. If PP stops killing babies, there will be more babies, but it won't be PP creating them. As much as the government would love to take credit for creating jobs, the reality is they can only kill (or chose not to kill.)

You are mostly correct, all gubmint can do is get in the way, or out of the way. The American people need to start seeing gubmint for what it really is, a liability to freedom, free enterprise and personal property rights. Thomas Jefferson said: what makes a man truly free is the right to do with his personal property as he sees fit.

No kidding it cuts everyone’s taxes.

Trump in my opinion is just buying votes.

Check out the calculator I wrote yesterday to compare Trumps tax plan to the current tax plan.

A Gallup poll released yesterday shows that an all-time low of 7 percent of Americans say that they have a great deal of trust and confidence in the media.

At the other end of the spectrum, a record high of 24 percent said their trust and confidence in the media is “none.”

The combined 60 percent who say they have either no trust in the media (24 percent) or not very much trust (36 percent) also matched an all-time high. […]

Democrats were far more likely than Republicans or Independents to have trust and confidence in the media, according to Gallup.

In the new poll, 55 percent of Democrats said they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in the media. By contrast, only 33 percent of Independents and only 32 percent of Republicans said they had a great deal or fair amount of confidence in the media. …
