One of New York City’s longest-running civic and political battles came to an end this week, not with a bang but a whimper. The organizers of the New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade announced that they would allow the Lavender and Green Alliance—a group composed of gay, lesbian, and transgender people of Irish descent— to participate in the annual march up Fifth Avenue. The group’s application to join the parade had been denied every year since 1994 due, parade organizers said, to its advocacy of an agenda at odds with the traditionally Catholic character of the event. In 2000, the group organized its own annual parade, St. Pat’s for All, in the heavily Irish neighborhoods of Sunnyside and Woodside, Queens.
Last week’s announcement was well received by LGBT advocates and their allies but failed to generate the sort of press you’d expect if you’d been watching the issue evolve over the last two decades. What was once one of the bitterest political fights (in a city known for bitter political fights) has simply resolved itself with barely a hint of pushback from one of the original adversaries. A spokesman for the Archdiocese of New York said that Timothy Cardinal Dolan has been out of town all week and may not be aware of the decision. . .

Do you know what happened to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Boston? There is no St. Patrick’s Parade left. It is a joke, a tiny remnant of its former self with only politicians, gays and groups that are forced to be there by the political establishment such as the police and military. And on the sidewalks...crickets. Just a few people here and there, most of the sidewalk is empty.

It may be sad but at least the Irish didn’t cave in—God bless them!
Within 10 years, the parade will be all about gayness and have little to do with Irish heritage.
Now it will turn into the pervy folsum street fair. Don’t bring children!
Now they have three homosexual parades in New York City: the Gay Pride parade, the Halloween parade, and the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Cancel the parade.
They’ve alwasy been permitted to march in the parade just not under their own personal banner....

You have given the scriptural links abhorred by the American people as a whole. They have rejected the power therein for their own “wisdom”.
Calling a new Holy Land style judgment down upon the USA may be a very ill considered move on the part of those doing the calling. It is the manner of hypocrites who have engaged in all manner of sexual shenanigans, or at least winked at them, for decades, to go scapegoating on the “gays” who waltzed right up the red carpet of personal sexual autonomy that the hypocrites long rolled out.
Watch out that the kind of justice that you want sweeping like a river does not sweep you away too. The Lord is allowing time to repent from sins that people may not even realize they have been sinning, they have been at it so long. And if the biblical pattern holds, even some “gays” will see and repent too. This time is being allowed under the umbrella of the love, mercy and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
