Early voting is getting underway but the main voting is Election Day October 19th in Canada with a tight race.

The Liberals were surging earlier this year in polling but the Conservatives launched a media campaign against Liberal leader Justin Trudeau back in July just before the election call.

But there are signs that Trudeau and the Liberals are rising in support.

There were 30 new House of Commons seats added for this election with the ruling Conservatives drawing them to their advantage. This means the Liberals can lead in popular vote but the Conservatives lead in more seats.

There are 338 seats being contested.

The socialistic NDP are the official opposition in the current House of Commons, due to a surge in their support in Quebec in the last election. But their support for the allowing Muslim women to wear the niqab (veil) at citizenship ceremonies is turning off Quebec voters. The courts, of course, have given the green light for the niqab.

The party leaders, PM Stephen Harper of the Conservatives, Opposition Leader Tom Mulcair of the New Democratic Party (NDP) and Justin Trudeau of the Liberals.

Concerning Trudeau’s numbers, once you take out the 416/905 area (Toronto) and the Maritimes (Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island), his numbers drop a great deal. These are the only areas where he does well in, even though he will also do well here in Ottawa due to the disgruntled civil servant vote against Harper.

In reality also, if he were elected to the premiership, I and many others here see him barely getting out of the starting gate without being a very serious disappointment to many who expect a lot of him due to his heritage and the promises he’s made to people.

Unless I am incorrect Harper is one of the few leaders in the world to say no to syrian refugees. That was a courageous stand, I hope he will be rewarded for it.

Re Trudeau le deuxieme: Liberals all want to be king, so they project themselves into one.

Is it not true that The Liberal Party and the NDP are virtually the same? And is it also not true that Canadian Conservatives as a whole are really at best RINOs, fiscal conservatives?
