Obama defends Clinton over private email server, blames controversy on politics

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of State “is not a situation in which America's national security was endangered,” President Obama said in an interview Sunday, adding that although Clinton “made a mistake,” he believes the controversy over the matter has “been ginned up … in part because of politics.”

In an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” that was released Sunday, Obama reiterated that he had not known about Clinton’s use of a private server for her email while she led the State Department.

“I think that it was a mistake that she has acknowledged and, you know, as a general proposition, when we're in these offices, we have to be more sensitive and stay as far away from the line as possible when it comes to how we handle information, how we handle our own personal data,” he said.

But, he added, “I don't think it posed a national security problem.”

“The fact that for the last three months this is all that's been spoken about is an indication that we're in presidential political season,” Obama said, noting that there is no evidence the private system was used to “hide something or to squirrel away information.”

If the FBI is pursuing this investigation in earnest, Obama is behind it.

FBI reported that classified material was found on her email server. In government Taking classified information off of the secure networks and putting it on an unclassified network is called spillage and it is a crime. Everyone handling this type of information is trained on their responsibilities. Obama is playing everyone for fools and once again the media let him get away with it, this is sickening.

He's just using this as an opportunity to rail against the GOP. Meanwhile, ValJar is masterminding Hillary's downfall so her chosen one can be elected, thereby giving ValJar her third term.

Sure he will make sure they rule that this was just being sloppy, you know like how Sandy Berger stole classified documents from the national archives and destroyed them to protect and cover Clinton during the 911 investigations and Clinton said “oh that Sandy he is just sloppy”.... This all stinks.....

Here’s the comical side of the email server story. In the middle of a five-star emergency, you can sit and imagine that the White House is trying desperately relay two pages of information to Sec of State Hillary. Like all such situations...server connectivity dies off (as many of us have felt the experience in our lives). If this were a government operation....there would be a back-up server sitting there, with back-up power, and a dozen-odd technicians prepared to fix the problem within minutes. In Hilary’s case, it might be twenty-four hours before her technician can figure out the issue, and she is relying mostly on a $99 battery-pack back-up power device.

The wisdom of such a deal for a significant person in the administration? None. And for the President to even defend her? No wisdom either. The free-world should not depend on a two-star email server.

devil speak with forked tongue...

How can something be a mistake but not a problem?

Where I come from if you make a mistake there’s a problem.

If there’s no mistake, there’s no problem.

I guess only liberals possess this fascinating kaleidoscope kind of logic.

But, he added, “I don't think it posed a national security problem.”

Hey its only words. Just say them.

Like, "Yeah, she fell in the water. But she didn't get wet." Or, "Yeah, it lit on fire. But it didn't burn."

See? Easy.

Of course things like this are political. It involves a 2016 Presidential candidate and the former Secretary of State under Obama. It involves national security. Yes it is political. That changes nothing.

Obama isn’t as smart as a lot of people say he is. He also does not shive a git about American security or intelligence. This is proof. Sorry Barry, this ISN’T politics. This is about putting American security in jeopardy, BONEHEAD!

Obama will charge Clinton and purposely bungle the prosecution to where she will get off free as a bird and immune evermore. It will ensure she will not be prosecuted by a subsequent Republican administration....

They have to kill her ability to be prosecuted so Double Jeopardy is in effect and is her automatic and legitimate defense.

At this point, I’ll settle for them somehow killing her ability to run for public office ever again .....

Hillary broke the law. Like Trump said “If this was a Republican they would be in jail”. Every Republican candidate needs to say this at every press conference.

Yes, it was a "mistake," in the sense criminal activity is a "mistake." If there was no criminal intent (a yuuuuuge assumption) it showed exceeding poor judgment.

If this kind of judgment is what she offers as President, then she's not qualified. Which way does Obie want to have it?

And frankly...if Obie doesn't think there's any national security issue involved, he's either too stupid or too crooked to be in office.

what we should be wondering is “where is the server that is Obama’s mistake? Does it contain only mail from Malia and Shasha and gramma?
