Friday on CNN’s “Newsroom,” host Carol Costello asked if Vice President Joe Biden enters the presidential race, would he “just be another white person running on the Democratic side?”

Biden would be historic in his own way — we’ve never had a president named Joe.
We’ve had Martin, Zachary, Millard, Franklin (2 of those), Ulysses, Rutherford, Chester, Grover, Woodrow, Warren, Calvin, Herbert, Dwight, Lyndon, and Barack, but no Joseph (or Robert either, or a slew of other fairly common first names.)
