Documents shed light on tissue procurement process for medical research... Taxpayers have paid for intact human fetal brains intended for use in medical research, at a cost of as much as $1,080 per brain, according to documents obtained through a public records request.
Researchers at the University of Connecticut studying brain development for the National Institutes of Health have used federal funding for over a decade to obtain up to two fetal brains per month.

Oh Congress sees it, and perhaps someplace in the dark recesses of some of their psyches they might even realize it’s wrong. But they’re too busy angling for the next gift or currying favor with lobbyists to be much concerned about the live vivisection of small human beings.
And if that isn’t a happy enough of a realization, think about this: these are the people we elected to represent us. Like any of us needed that tarnish on our souls.
