Ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington next week, the Obama administration privately and publicly has conceded that a lasting peace in the Mideast isn't possible before he leaves office in 2017.
Administration officials said in a conference call on Thursday that Obama will likely press Netanyahu to sustain efforts that could someday allow Israel and the Palestinians to co-exist in a two-state situation.
But such a situation is beyond hope to occur in the 14 months before Obama steps down as president in January 2017.

Sorry, but that simply wasn’t true! And in truth, history has shown us that our “boots on the ground” military over there hasn’t been anthing other than a holding action (coupled with the uwarranted deaths of our soldiers and the looting of our treasury). These people have low IQ’s coupled with a 7th Century idology that will prevent peace from EVER happening. The world will never know peace until every last Muslim has been eliminated!
Many of the terrorists we’ve captured have college educations.
The Taliban and perhaps al Shabaab are exceptions, but AQ and ISIS are educated and very internet and media savvy.
