I’ve never believed the story about Westmoreland meeting with Carson, but that still doesn’t change the fact that Carson’s positions on major issues will damage this country drastically. Those policies are what voters need to be looking at.

Oh no. My records from 1969 indicate almost nothing about my life. I do recall military riot control training being one of the last things I did before being discharged in 04-69 even though the MLK riots happened in 68. Kerry remembers incursions into Laos in December 1968 under Nixon. Must be a 60’s thing.
In 1985 I met and talked with Gen Jimmy Doolittle for almost an hour. Definitely a highlight of my life.

I did see Westy once, walking into the Pentagon while I was covering a story there, but never officially met him. I don’t remember the date but I could look it up in my notes or newspaper articles concerning the communist riots that took place there later on.

Ben Carson and some decent reporters have now been able to verify many of the things he wrote in his book or said in speeches, something the leftist media failed to do over a period of months.
Journalism has now been subverted and perverted to the point that honest journalism is now a secondary thought for much of the mainstream media.
Little unimportant things become a “force majeur” while the truth takes on a JV status.
Best defense against this perversion is to take good notes (and date them), photos if possible, and save newspaper clippings of events that you have attended, if you are or plan to be in the public eye. Best way to shut your enemies up.
I know that most people can’t do this, but for those who write, it is crucial that you save your documentation, notes, etc. for every story you write (even if they are not published), because there is always some leftist bastard who will try to take you down, as you have seen here at FR.
Your documentation can put a big stake through the Lying Left and we need more of that on every level of communication in the country.
It is time that we took the media back from our enemies and their dupes. Ben Carson and honest journalists are doing it, so we need to follow his lead.
