Watch out, world: Sarah Palin said she's open to running for political office again.
The former Alaska governor touched on a possible return to politics during a wide-ranging interview on CBS's "Sunday Morning." "This will always be home," she said of Wasilla, Ala. "I would know that I could always come back here."
"You're willing to run again?" the interviewer asked.
"I'd be willing. That's a good way to put it," Palin said.
The former Republican vice presidential nominee left the political scene after the GOP's White House defeat in 2008. Apart from endorsements here and there, her primary political outlet is Facebook, where she writes notes to 4.5 million followers. She mentioned no specific plans to run for office, but she didn't shy away from giving an opinion on the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
"Right now, I would say that fighter is Donald Trump, because he's got nothing to lose," Palin said. "He doesn't have to be bought or sold, obviously, especially when it comes to contributions. He is his own man."
Palin defended her no-holds-barred style.
"I think too many people worry about being too divisive, or they worry about the politically correct police who will tell them, you know, to 'sit down and shut up because you're politically incorrect.' I'm like, 'That's part of the problem in our country right now,' " she said.

>> Maybe next year she can primary Murkowski.
There’s a thought. Stay local. She knows Alaska very well.
I didn’t care for the tease she put on in 2012. That greatly soured me on her for national office.
>> Eliminate the Department of Energy. Fold its few useful functions into the Department of the Interior. Appoint Palin Secretary of the Interior.
Another good suggestion! She’d be perfect for cleaning up Interior.
For a Christian woman, bearing false witness is a no-no. (Yeah, I know, improper use of the term, but it fits.)
No full-term Governors.
That ship has sailed. Exactly. I’m in, I’m out, I’m in ...
Mr. Miagi would tell her, “You either do karate or you don’t.” There’s no in-between.
Trump/Cruz
Trump/Palin
Cruz/Palin
Palin/Cruz
They all work for me!
If Trump implodes, Ted doesn’t consolidate the lead, and the left starts pushing Romney, then Sarah will have an opening and should step in. That is a lot of ifs.
This was in her interview yesterday, but she has said this for a long time.
It is amazing though that this one simple line brings out so many haters!
Geez, you'd think she ran guns to ISIS while she was in office or something...
Always fun to watch the shriekers and hair pullers come out to play.

Thanks for the ping, dear KC.
Sarah and Donald Trump had a great visit, this past week, at Trump Tower. They exchanged signed copies of their books. Trump has tremendous respect for our Sarah.
I think she would make an excellent Trump VP or Cabinet member. But,mwould i would LOVE to see, would be for Sarah to unseat that geezer McStain.
?
She’s had a blood feud with the Murkoskis since 2002.
I wonder if she’ll primary little RINO Lisa in 2016.
Feminists hate Palin.
More likely is that she is angling to succeed Don Young as Alaska’s at-large member of the House. Young has been in office for 42 years and will be 83 years old next year.
If Young bows out that seat might be Sarah’s for the taking.
WHAT a great ider...ya hey
I didn’t say false..run as a Dem0-rat..win then do as a BLUE collar democrat
If the Donald keeps running this well, then I would support him for POTUS. But he needs some solid advice that he can trust, and I think Sarah would provide that as his VP or in some other major post.
I did not support Trump last time around, because I didn’t think he really meant it, but was just doing it for his own purposes, and I think I was right.
People forget that Ronald Reagan had some bad stuff in his record, including a divorce, a movie career, and recent support of abortion as California governor. But he was ready, and this time he had a solid, reliable moral advisor (a traditional Catholic) to work with him. That made a huge difference. I think Trump is the same. This time he really wants to do the job for his country, I think, because he’s done everything he wanted to do to get to the top himself and fulfill his ambitions.
But he needs reliable advice about what’s right and what’s wrong, and no one can do that better than Sarah.
I’m glad she said it just to see all the Lib heads exploding (and that may be all there is to it - Sarah’s clever)! Whether she does or not is another story - if Trump is elected, she’ll likely be offered a spot in his administration.
“Sarah, with the utmost respect, move to New York...”
She has too many guns to move to New York with their gun laws. :o)
