I went to church w/ Ted Cruz, he's building an army of young Christian voters in Iowa-"scary stuff"

It sounds like this writer (anthropologist) is a self-hating Christian. His arrogance (there are so many examples in this piece) that things that "happened in the distant past" can't happen now, shows his bias and ignorance.

Regarding his finger-pointing about "mockery" and "scorn" - has this writer been listening to Obama?

And about those Christian refugees - despite be-headings, capture for sex and slavery, and burning of their churches - the number of Syrian Muslims who have been given refugee status versus Christians, speaks for itself.

Nov 17, 2015: Discrimination: 2,098 Syrian Muslim Refugees Allowed Into America, Only 53 Christians

I seriouslly doubt a hater like this, who goes to this extent to bash a good man like Ted Cruz, is a Christian at all

Muslim convert or atheist with such hate in his heart

Maybe he just had “a feeling”.

Seems to be a lot of that going around.

Apparently he doesn’t consider being crucified to be a form of persecution. If he thinks that’s some kind of honor he should go to Syria and find himself an ISIS camp.

Sounds like something Obama would say about Christianity.

The Crusaders had it right during the Crusades, so to Thomas Jefferson.

Trump and Cruz both enjoy all the right enemies. Good men, fine candidates, both. Either one is going to wipe the floor with the America-hating, God-hating Marxist/fascist totalitarian butcheress.

Going to church WITH Ted Cruz is a far cry from being a sapper dogging a candidate he despises.

My first question to you is why is Salon your favorite “go to” for stuff to post on FR? Do you live there? Why do you always post trash from that liberal dump?

And second, Have you never heard of the word “excerpt”? You insist on posting the entire text of articles, in opposition to FR policy.

Third, I doubt you are anyone’s “wife”. Your stuff just wastes bandwidth big time. And exposes you as a nobody seeking your fifteen minutes of fame.

Might as well post from Democratic Underground for all the good you are doing posing on a conservative website. Perpetuating liberal garbage like this.

[ Cruz gave his standard stump speech we who cover him are familiar with, that if elected president he would revoke every single Obama "illegal" executive action, investigate Planned Parenthood, stop the persecution of Christians, abolish the EPA, the Department of Education, the IRS, increase support to the military, and "rip to shreds this catastrophic Iranian nuclear deal," among other points. ]

I always laugh at this one, the dept of Education, established in 1979....

You know back when the US was near the top in the world regarding education vs. where we are now...

The Department of Education needs to be paired back to 4 people at the very least who set a "basic framework standard" for what a grade means. ie.

3rd grade = basic english reading skills, basic grammar, basic addition subtraction, etc etc...

4th grade basic multiplication, basic sentence structures etc...

Or just outright abolish it and let the states set their standards.

You know the way it WAS when the USA was #1 in world edu-mah-cay-tion.

completely agree with your post.

One niggling thing tho’: Both men are Type A personalities .
Each is highly skilled whether it be a scholarly knowledge of the Constituion and all the workings or one as a unique private citizen who is publicly trying to whip our country back into shape .

Both men dearly love their country, too.

My question would be to the audience here on FR- if The Donald chose Ted Cruz as his running mate as VP would it not change the face of the VP?

History shows us there are many VP’s who actually do little or do nothing.

I don’t think Ted falls into a do-little/do nothing category but would he be willing to accept , if offered,
the VP job?

just throwing this out here for your opinion.
