President Obama spoke to a group of young Southeast Asian leaders Friday in Malaysia and warned them about about avoiding the "pitfalls" the United States suffers from, the Washington Times reports.
Human Rights Watch says on its main Malaysia page that the country’s government has engaged in a "strong crackdown on civil and political rights, including charging organizers of peaceful demonstrations. Though he had promised to repeal the Sedition Act, Prime Minister Najib Razak pushed through amendments to strengthen it, as well as a repressive counterterror law."
Obama, however, warned the leaders about such American weaknesses as racial divides, income inequality, harsh partisanship and a political system dominated by the wealthy.
"Right now, our political system does not work as well as it should," Obama said. "And what I would say to young leaders, what sort of pitfalls should you avoid, I would say, number one, it is very important to avoid any political system where money overwhelms ideas. And the United States politics process has become so expensive and it lasts so long, and even though I was successful at it, we spend hundreds of millions of dollars in television advertising and in all the things that go into a U.S. presidential campaign."
Obama added that politics in the U.S. was increasingly defined by "personal attacks and saying very sensational things to the media." It should be noted that Obama reamed Republicans this week during his overseas trip, implying they were cowards for their rhetoric about putting a pause on Syrian refugees entering the country.
He also said the race issue in the U.S. "has been very prominent" historically and warned against organizing political parties or interest groups on ethnic lines.

And that sentiment which I share is not not shared by the presumptive guardians of this republic, the GOP.
I cannot tell you how much I hate those Republicans in power who will not adhere to their sworn oath to uphold the Constitution, which they refuse to do in impeaching this despicable human being.

I know he knows exactly what he is doing. But he mistakenly believes he has more backing that he does. He went to Europe and gave that embarrassing speech.. of which he believed he received backing from all of them, for he would not have purposely made a fool of himself. He thought they’d agree with his tirade against republicans back in the US.. or he would not have jumped that reporter. He believed it made him superior to “embarrass” that reporter. Instead, he was the embarrassment. That is what he does not see.

I am inclined to think that a lot of Obama's views are due to nostalgic feelings about his Islam courses in Indonesia. Not to mention his Communist father(?) figure, Frank Marshall Davis, and the happy times Obama had with him. Bad political ideas based on nostalgia is a horrific combination.

These young folks are complete idiots as they know nothing about our nation’s history. It is so easy to turn ignorant folks against their own country when they know nothing except cell phones, games, and think being a different sex is cool. This entire admin is treasonous and all must be dealt with firmly.

I am glad Obama is warning all about all of our ‘pitfalls’. Who would want to come to this pitiful nation?
Obama trashes this country in places like the Philippines, notorious for corruption and where about half the population would move to the United States if they could and where a significant percentage already have moved here. And the Republican “leadership” in the House and Senate says NOTHING in response, other than to canoodle with the Rick Wilsons and other overpaid “consultants” to torpedo Donald Trump. No wonder he’s leading in the polls.

Well Trump is not embarrassed by success, so they are going to see that Americans, being sick to death of wimp leadership, and I’m being charitable, are seeing that it’s not just themselves that want a man in the whitehouse, and if that means a woman who can do the job like a man, Maggie t, or so, that’s what it means

According to the narrative, Mommy booted him outta Indonesia and shoved him off on Grandma and Grandpa in Hawaii. Daddy was never around, except for a brief meeting at an airport years later. So, Grandpa took him to bars to hang out with Frank Marshall Davis. According to him.
Give him a mansion on a beachfront golf course anywhere in the world (hopefully he’ll choose one of the 57 Moslem states where he’ll be more at home), $100 million per year for life in return for his resignation today. Reduce the stipend offer by $1m every 2 days.
You and I see him as embarrassing, but many, many tens-of-millions do back him. Why else would Europe allow this invasion to happen, and encourage/welcome it, if the socialist leadership and followers weren’t in on the same agenda? He’s playing to a world-wide socialist audience, not to just America. He could give a rat’s rearend what America thinks, and rightly so, for he’s effectively neutered us by winning a 2nd term and going for 7yrs unopposed by the GOPe/RINOs in Congress. Talk about “embarrassment”... no one takes us seriously anymore. Our allies fear us, and our enemies laugh at us.
That’s the embarrassing part.. that the world did think of us as the greatest nation and above electing such a person as obama is. It lowers any thought of how great we might have been.. how could we elect him twice. They were laughing at all of us for having such a leader as obama.
And to be honest with ourselves, our nation’s people are not the best anymore. The education system has done a number on our youth.. for enough years that they are now adults and so out of touch with reality, it’s frightening.
How does one get this back? Not any time soon. I don’t consider this next election as anything normal.. I consider it do or die and we need someone elected who feels the same way and goes into it determined to do this right... one more time!.. regardless of the media or congress.
Democrats elected a man who hates our country... how disgusting.
