Authorities on Thursday were trying to learn why a couple left behind their infant daughter and carried out a rampage that left 14 people dead and seriously wounded more than a dozen others in one of the nation's worst mass shootings.
San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan identified one dead attacker as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, the other as Tashfeen Malik, 27, his wife or fiancee. Burguan said Farook was born in the United States; the chief said he did not know Malik's background.

I don't know how they will find a motive. What could possibly have motivated three peaceful, religious people to strap on body armor(?) and body cameras, grab AK-74s and other weapons, improvise some explosives(?), and commit (and film!) a mass murder at a Christmas party? Other than speculation that workplace violence may be a factor, the brightest minds on the case haven't found any clues at all. They seem to be clueless.
