My goal isn’t to find the candidate that I think is most likely to win the nomination, but to find the candidate I want most to win the nomination, and help them win. If my candidate doesn’t win at least I picked the most conservative candidate to support. Gnashing of teeth isn’t going to happen.

I am very excited about Trump, really, but Cruz would be the ultimate.

Cruz wins the WH we know exactly what we are getting, we know the Supreme Court will be in good hands, he will do all the right things.

If Trump wins the WH I will be very happy.

With Trump we have no idea what he will do, we will be crossing our fingers and praying.

With Cruz we know he will always do the right thing absolutely

Trump will be a question mark on Christian issues, Cruz will not.

Here`s hoping that Trump will do what`s right

I know, I’m just saying that THIS cycle, so far, they appear to be right in the middle of all these polls and therefore pretty much the most consistent one.

In other words, Trump has 67% more support than Cruz; over twice the support of Carson; exactly three times the support of Rubio; and over 8 times the support that Bush ‘enjoys’.

Yes but 66% still support someone else. At this point the best bet of a hanger-on like Rubio who's too high in the polls to quit but not high enough to be a real challenge is to appeal to voters like Lincoln did at the GOP convention in 1860: "Go ahead and support your favorite candidate, all I'm asking is that if it looks like they can't win it, make me your second choice (in order to prevent Trump)."

That’s an interesting bit of information there. Thank you.

Yikes, I think you’ve got a point.

You know folks, everyone seemed to like that woman who took the CNN talking head apart yesterday.

This is a key part of who Trump is. He is excellent at evaluating talent and putting people in the right positions to get the job done.

If someone is going to beat Trump, they’ll have to do a better job of it than him. And Donald Trump has been working his craft for four decades.

He knows how to develop a team, delegate, and oversee the operation. That’s why he’ll make an excellent president.

Trump has been delegating to a broad team for decades.

Cruz has never had his own business, put one person to work, had to meet a bottom line, or delegate authority. He’s never had his money on the line in an enterprise.

He hasn’t made massive deals nationally and internationally.

He’s a house hold name in his home state. Trump is a household name internationally.

The Trump team has had to deal with governments around the world. Cruz... nada.

Trump is world class, and Cruz is state class.

But still, Trump’s lead holds even among only those voters who express the most interest in attending the caucus or the most regular past participation in presidential caucuses. Among those in the CNN/ORC poll who say they definitely plan to attend the caucuses and are more interested in news about them than any other news story — a group which represents approximately 8% of Iowa adults — Trump’s lead grows to a 42% to 23% advantage over Cruz, with Rubio at 11% and Carson at 9%.

Keep telling yourself that. Best of luck to you maintaining that stance...

Durus, we are faced with someone against Hillary Clinton.

I want someone I can back in November 2017.

Trump can win and I can back him.

Thank you for referencing that article MichelleWSC3. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots, beware of the corrupt medias obsession with presidential race polls!

Regardless if patriots elect Trump or Cruz, the new president will be ”married” to Congress through the Constitution. So patriots must support the new presidents vision for the country by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work wihin its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the president.

The consequence of not supporting the new president with a Congress that actually respects its constitutionally limited powers is this. It will only be a matter of time before the nation is again cursed with another lawless president that is likewise protected by a corrupt, Constitution-ignoring Congress.

LOL...

....what’s ‘angry’ about the link?

It quotes Cruz, himself....

“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.

Does the above make you angry?

That column making the internet rounds about the Monmouth Poll was a tricky read.

Buried in the article was that “sixty four percent of Iowa Republicans would be ‘happy’ to have Donald Trump as the nominee’.

THAT was the only percent that was quoted in words and not in numeric figures. It proved easy to miss if you didn’t read every word.

This CNN poll sounds more like it.

I don’t think D.O. was referencing you or honest Cruz supporters but there is a gaggle of Cruz supporters with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) that post lies about Trump’s platform and insult Trump supporters on a daily basis.

They have really gotten out of hand lately and D.O. as well as some of the other Trump supporters, including me, refuse to take it anymore.

Agreed. I seem to remember them having Fierino, Carson and Rubio the last two weeks. I believe this
is to depress Trumps supporters. It isn't working. ;)
