Questions over gay marriage, for example, have a definite generational bias in most polling averages. But when it comes to gun rights is that pattern holding true? Thereâs a hopeful bit of analysis at the Washington Post today from Catherine Rampell who expresses her confusion (and perhaps dismay?) over the trends indicating that younger people are, if anything, more supportive of gun rights in most instances than their elders

I just recently gave my millennial 25 year old daughter a sneak peak/test fire of her Taurus .380 Christmas present.
She was excited!

Great point!!!
Now, do you want the same gov’t who just withheld a big chunk of YOUR paycheck....to tell you that you can’t own a gun, to protect yourself against radicals that the gov’t is importing?

RE:”

....Questions over gay marriage, for example, have a definite generational bias in most polling averages. But when it comes to gun rights is that pattern holding true?” Because they lump gay marriage and gun rights together, as freedom-personal decisions issues.
Even they will question why they can't have the right to defend themselves if some nut who they disagrees with abuses their’s.

I suspect most millennials are more aware of racial strife that I was 25 years ago (since it has gotten so much worse); while in my younger days I thought coexistence was achievable, I no longer have any illusions because of what our young people today witness. The internet has made it impossible to sweep these problems under the rug...
