Israel is in God’s Hands, not one Islamic can do anything about that.

That said, just from the news, he is probably banking on Iranian nukes, or more likely some ISIS triumph and effecting the ISIL overrun plan. Given that ISIS and other distinction without a difference salafist groups are being bankrolled and materially supported by NATO, Obamamerica, and the Arab gulf states, it would not be an unreasonable presumption against an unremarkable nation in the same place. Israel however is remarkable, for both secular and religious reasons. They seem to be more fixed on Shia threats than Sunni, however, which may well be dead wrong.
The Yom Kippur War was brutal. Although a victory, I don’t think the experience is worth repeating.
Not gonna happen. Clearly prophesied in the Bible that God will save Israel and at some point the rest of the world will be destroyed while a remnant if Israel will be saved (Armageddon).

Israel’s existence is only a problem because it threatens Muslim’s extremely delicate sense of superiority. It’s their core value and their main link to Islam. If they accept thier multiple military defeats to Israel, it might just mean they are not all that. And Islam, once you get past the complex doctrine, the funny hats, all the procedures and riuals, is all about being all that.
The only way we were able to stop Japanese religious fascism, where they thought they were all that, was to threaten them with annihilation and forced them to make a change in thier state religion. We could have droppd bombs every week, but until they were willing to drop the idea of thier emperor being a God, they would have never given up.
We need to get Muslims to drop the idea of thier religion being superior to all others by forcing them to open up thier societies to other religions including opening so called holy cities and places to all people. No more Muslim exclusivity. Until then, they will never be able to get along with others because they are expecting us to serve them. And when we don’t, that’s when they become radicalized and enraged.

One could assume news of some significance is making the rounds within certain Muslim communities of a coming attack against Israel and the West; perhaps a nuclear one. Maybe the "refugee" invasion is a clear sign to someone with complete knowledge of Islam the time is near.
We can't rule out simple 'end of age' feelings, as many in the West are having, in his father's statement either. I lean toward both. Obviously declaring Islam will soon defeat Israel, indicates to me, the father believes Muslims now, or soon will have the ability to defeat both Christianity and Israel.
I don't see how one can study Bible prophecy and NOT come away with an impression of nuclear weapons being used. I think the US may be what scriptures refer to as 'Mystery Babylon'. Who ever MB is, I believe they are nuked as well.
Though I don't have any sense for sequence of events. I do think Israel will suffer horrific casualties and destruction - enough that someone(s) in that nation will call upon our mutal Messiah to save Israel from total destruction.
