...Sam Taylor-Johnson, who directed Fifty Shades of Grey, is in talks to direct Apex Entertainment's feature "Chappaquiddick".
.....Written by Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan, Chappaquiddick is political thriller that unveils the true story of what is described as the seven most dramatic days of Senator Ted Kennedy's life.
On the eve of the moon landing, Senator Kennedy becomes entangled in a tragic car accident that results in the death of former Robert Kennedy campaign worker Mary Jo Kopechne. The Senator struggles to follow his own moral compass and simultaneously protect his family's legacy, all while simply trying to keep his own political ambitions alive.

I didn't know he had one.
Impossible?
How can one struggle with something one does not have?
This will certainly be spun in the most favorable way toward the Democrats.
Just as Noah and the Left Behind remake were deliberately scuttled into the worst movies imaginable.
The comments on thread should be keepers.
Of course it will.
Probably has footage of a guy on a grassy atoll coming over to keep him from saving her.
Ted will be swimming with a knife in his mouth through shark infested waters. But alas, it will be too late.
It’s called a plumb bob. Points straight down.
"Everyone has an idea of what happened on Chappaquiddick and this strings together the events in a compelling and emotional way. You'll see what he had to go through."
I was close by when this happened, and I know more than most folks about this. It will be interesting to watch.
I wonder who he will get to play Mary Jo?
For sure he will add lots of sex before the drunken ride over the bridge.
Will he add that Kennedy stepped on Mary Jo as he was exiting the car and later complained that she was pushing and hitting him?
Taylor and Logan will probably turn that scene into the sado-masochisitc climax.
Good topic for a movie. It’s hard to see how they won’t be pressured (and sued) to present Ted Kennedy’s ‘moral compass’ more positively. And whatever they produce will then be accepted as the truth by the majority of the people seeing the movie.
See the movie Hollywood did not have the b@lls to make while he was alive. Thus allowing him to go on abusing his position of power for decades.
Lindsay Crouse, I tell ya, for Mary Jo.
See the resemblance to my post above.
The office liberal thinks Chappaquiddick was ‘controversial’, whatever that means. As in, he doesn’t think we know for sure that Teddy was driving. May be Bush’s fault.
It will show Kopechne as a Nixon operative who tried to frame the Kennedy’s in a scandal, and the plan went awry, and she got what was coming.
