White people reject claims of white privilege, study finds

White people are quick to cite personal hardships instead of acknowledging that they are privileged because of their skin color, according to a new study.

Stanford University's L. Taylor Phillips and Brian S. Lowery, writing in November's Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, split test subjects into two groups - with one given more evidence of white privilege in American culture.

So to see if I am understanding this study - the group was divided and one group was shown evidence of white privilege before they questions were asked. What kind of a study is this? I have taken classes on statistics, and how to have legitimate surveys. This violated the entire premise of a survey as it began with a preconceived concept which was developed in some university somewhere.

I am white. I admit I have some privileges - but only because I was born into an intact family and my family was educated, patriotic, and religious [Catholic]. So, does that make me privileged or is it my white skin?

So, here we have another liberal pre-conceived concept which is being pushed down our throats by academia, false surveys, and the mass media. Lincoln (?) was right when he said you can fool some people all of the time.

Behaviors, not skin color are what determine outcome... yes some folks get dealt a lucky hand and others a lesser hand, but you play the hand you are dealt and do it smart, you will wind up okay. Sure Racism exists, but the idea that institutional racism keeps blacks down is horse excrement. There are racists in this world, always will be, but this idea that this is some how Jim Crow 1920s keeping a brother down is nonsense.

I’m not privileged because of my skin color. I’m privileged because of the behavior of my parents (and, to a much lesser extent, grandparents) and the expectations they placed on me. If that’s “white privilege,” I’m all for expanding it among all races, rather than discouraging it among whites.

Lo and behold! If your ancestors came over in the late 1800’s in the hold of a boat, the moment they set foot ashore, their DNA acquired the Guilt Gene, which was passed down to their descendents.

However, if someone has dark skin, they don’t have to be descendents of slaves to acquire the Black Privilege Gene. All they need is dark skin and to act unlike most Americans. They will enjoy the fruits of privilege all their lives, and they don’t even have to be sons of slaves.
