So much for the establishment's efforts to stop Donald Trump. So far, nothing's working - not a thousand earnest think pieces or Jeb Bush's gripes in the latest debate. Not the wrath of news anchors and late-night hosts, who still can't resist booking Trump on their shows, but have started to get ornery during the interviews.
So maybe it's worth looking back to 1991 Louisiana, when establishment Republicans and Democrats banded together to defeat a popular, populist, problematic gubernatorial candidate named David Duke...

Would a little more digging into Trump's past, plus a loud dose of Louisiana-style dark humor, accomplish what all of the hand-wringing hasn't?

There’s a lot of misdirection going on. The panic on the part of everyone who does not want Trump in the White House is palpable. The Duke comparison is a trial balloon, an irrelevant trial ballon that’s simply the latest smear tactic.

You need to freshen up your GOPe talking points. The single payer lies have been dispelled (rather than ping DoughtyOne, FReepmail him to get the low down ok?).
As for your other anti-Trump propaganda, flip to your Funk & Wagnalls and look up the words “tired” and “no longer applicable”.

I am attracted to the fact Trump has no insider/donor ties, and I believe he is a true American Patriot, with a good heart, His uber Alpha Male with a brash NY tycoon style is the off putting part.
But oh my! What fun it would be, if he becomes POTUS, brings his family and class to the WH, and more importantly fulfills his promise to make America great again.
Same here - it looks like the NRC's floating of doing a Cochran-type deal gave them pause for thought but that won't stop them from giving the wink if the Left (that admits being the Left) tries to do it for them - it took a lot of Dem support to trash McDaniel in favor of Cochran and it is telling that so many that hated that event would side with the NRC and it's evil allies in an effort to trash Trump.
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader
