The New York Times reported:

President Obama said in a radio interview airing on Monday that Donald J. Trump, a leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination, is exploiting the resentment and anxieties of working-class men to boost his campaign. Mr. Obama also argued that some of the scorn directed at him personally stems from the fact that he is the first African-American to hold the White House.

Demographic changes and economic stresses, including "flatlining" wages and incomes, have meant that "particularly blue-collar men have had a lot of trouble in this new economy, where they are no longer getting the same bargain that they got when they were going to a factory and able to support their families on a single paycheck," Mr. Obama said in the interview with National Public Radio.

"You combine those things, and it means that there is going to be potential anger, frustration, fear - some of it justified, but just misdirected,"

I am amazed, astounded and saddened by those around me who hate Donald Trump for no reason.

It belies the massive undercurrent of groupthink that exists that a man or woman will only hold the opinion of other members of the group and not spend one second reaccessing their assumptions. Like voting for Obama based on skin color alone, the `coexist` types chin thrust and preen with an arrogant aura. ...and they are wrong about everything all the time.

I've encountered people like him over the years.

The light-toned mixed affirmative action kids who had everything handed to them in life (often raised in upper middle class or affluent neighborhoods) even though many dark-skinned blacks from lower socio-economic groups didn't get the same goodies.

These mulattoes know they are a fraud. They know they've gamed a system that's supposed to give a leg up to others.

And they tend to be some of the angriest/defensive people you'll ever meet because they're just waiting for someone to point how that their whole lives have been one big con based on something they never earned -- skin pigmentation.
