In a wide-ranging interview full of questionable and downright disgraceful opinions, veteran actor and Hateful Eight star Samuel L. Jackson said that an increase in racial profiling sentiment following recent terror attacks is turning Muslim Americans into "the new young black men."
Jackson told The Hollywood Reporter over the weekend:
When that thing happened in France, we were sitting there going, "Oh, my God, these terrorists!" And I can't even tell you how much that day the thing that happened in San Bernardino - I was in Hawaii - how much I really wanted that to just be another, you know, crazy white dude, and not really some Muslims, because it's like: "Oh, shit. It's here. And it's here in another kind of way." Now, okay, it happened on an Army base and it happened somewhere else. But now? It's like they have a legitimate reason now to look at your Muslim neighbor, friend, whatever in another way. And they become the new young black men.

My older boys (14&16) still rant against stupid liberal policies. Because of Nick Fury, however, they think Samuel Jackson is the coolest guy ever. Hollywood actors can sway impressionable young people.
Due to a number of things, The Hateful Eight may be heading for a box office train wreck. The fear of this is probably the reason Jackson has come out to say something inflammatory.
Importantly, there are concerns about “screen congestion”, especially if Star Wars continues strong.
The wide digital release was originally planned for January 8, but has been moved forward to December 30, in an indeterminate number of theaters. And then, to open in more theaters the following weekend.
There are total about 39,356 theater screens in the US. Of the top 13 movies in theaters right now (with the exception of Hateful 8), they are occupying about 31,000 of those screens. Many others either cannot afford The Hateful Eight, or are not technically able to show it.
The new Star Wars movie alone has about 11,800 screens in 4,134 theaters.

And this is just part of the problem.
Another dilemma is that the movie with trailers and advertisements is about two and a half hours. That will lose audience. And it is a western, which may or may not matter.
So what about the date chosen for wide release? December 30 through New Years Day. This years Memorial Day releases were a disaster.
Time will tell. And soon. The December 30th estimates should be out in the afternoon.
As much as I respect Kurt Russell my fingers are crossed Tarantino’s latest take a great big dump. The guy annoys me to no end.
The movie SUCKS!
Saw Star Wars yesterday. The girl Jedi was annoying and the black/white romance was contrived to make a black Jedi in the future.
Great graphics especially in 3D, but a remake of the first one and PC lovefest. Other than Harrison Ford white males were not allowed for anything but bad guy parts.

He wanted it to be some crazy white dude so that somehow profiling mid-east young adult males didn’t make sense. His loose talk only exposes his ignorance and racist views.
I bet he would love to somehow see young “crazy white dudes” shooting each other up in their “privileged” neighborhoods to off set the nationally ignored inner city negro murder rates rather than harnessing his fame to truly do something about it. Same kind of crap as ol’ Spike.

Not to worry. If the “new black men” are Muslims; it will save a lot of sorting time when this thing finally comes to a head. You’d think that blacks would think twice before aligning themselves with Muslims at this point in time.
