I thought the UN Charter prevented anyone from the US of becoming the General Secretary of the UN.

Not charter, but tradition has kept the UN president being from one of the great powers. Not only the U.S. but China, Russia, France, and Great Britain.

I find it highly unlikely that Obama is plotting to be UN president. If he doesn't like dealing with Congress then he'd hate working with the general assembly.

One thing is for certain, Obama isn’t going away once he leaves the White House, he is going to continue his work to destroy the US.

Back in ‘96 or so, there was some noise and jubilation in the liberal ranks about the thought of having Bubba Clinton as UN general sec.
So it’s nothing new that liberal icons and imperators are floated for the position.

Actually probably just the opposite. The membership representatives are made up of two types: Third world (and lower) gibme beggars and NWO pimps and pimpettes.

Maybe that explains why power has diminished here.
