A Muslim woman was escorted out of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump's rally in South Carolina on Friday after she stood up in silent protest.
Rose Hamid, a 56-year-old flight attendant, was sitting in the stands behind Trump, according to CNN, when the billionaire suggested Syrian refugees fleeing a civil war were affiliated with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Hamid, who was wearing a hijab, did not say anything while Trump spoke, according to CNN. However, Trump supporters called attention to her and Marty Rosenbluth, the man sitting next to her who also stood up.
The two were wearing stars resembling those worn by Jews during the Holocaust.
Security escorted the two out as Trump supporters booed and yelled "get out."
According to Hamid, one person shouted, "You have a bomb, you have a bomb," CNN reported.
"The ugliness really came out fast and that's really scary," she told CNN after she was escorted out of the venue.
Hamid added that several people around her held her hand and said "sorry" as she was forced to leave.
"There is a hatred against us that is unbelievable," Trump said after Hamid was ejected. "It's their hatred, not our hatred."
Hamid told CNN before the event that she didn't plan to disrupt the event, but wanted to give Trump's supporters some insight as to what Muslims are like.
"I figured that most Trump supporters probably never met a Muslim, so I figured that I'd give them the opportunity to meet one" she said. "I really don't plan on saying anything. I don't want to be disrespectful but if he says something that I feel needs answering I might - we'll see what strikes me.
"People don't have a chance to see anything other than the Muslims they see on TV," she added, talking about the footage of terrorists.

It may not sound gross but if you've had to witness this foot washing in public, I think you'd be disgusted, too.I was in an RV park just outside of Yosemite a few yrs. ago when a small caravan of Muslims came in.
RV parks have "dump stations" where RVers dump their sewage holding tanks. They provide a garden hose for washing out dump hoses and spillage. A bunch of these Muslims stood there at the (sewage)"dump station" to wash their feet and there were public showers right across from the station.
Trust me, a moderate Muslim is a fanatic about their religion in a way that you won't find in any Christian hereAnd they're darn lucky to have supporters of their religion like Ted Cruz and his supporters who are all about religious liberty and religious freedom too...Or maybe he and they are only talking about THEIR religious liberties, not anyone else's.

watching, and about 20 seconds later, after Trump asks “was there somebody up there,” you’ll see attention turn to the right. That is when Rose Hamid was being escorted out. I was in the hallway when the police came up with her and her companion — it obviously was a far more peaceful removal, as you can see from this picture. (Though near the exit, there was a brief heated exchange between one officer and Hamid’s male friend.)
When I watched Jeff Zeleny discuss this on CNN last night, saying “suddenly a police officer escorted her out,” he mostly leaves out the context of the violent protest. That seems a pretty bad misrepresentation to me.
