The new way police are surveilling you: Calculating your threat âscoreâ - The Washington Post

A national debate has played out over mass surveillance by the National Security Agency, a new generation of technology such as the Beware software being used in Fresno has given local law enforcement officers unprecedented power to peer into the lives of citizens.
Nabarro said the fact that only Intrado â not the police or the public â knows how Beware tallies its scores is disconcerting. He also worries that the system might mistakenly increase someoneâs threat level by misinterpreting innocuous activity on social media, like criticizing the police, and trigger a heavier response by officers.
Itâs a very unrefined, gross technique, Nabarro said of Bewareâs color-coded levels. A police call is something that can be very dangerous for a citizen.

Privacy Big Brother development. Fresno CA police department is one of the first to try out "Beware" threat profiling software. You're going to see the kind of a citizen threat rating on a federal level courtesy of Obola's Sept 15 2015 Executive Order establishing an interagency Behavioral Profiling program that effectively uses Big Data analysis of aggregated citizen data to help "better provide services". See my tagline.

...and the best way to boost that score is to say “None of your DAMN BUSINESS” when your doctors asks you if you own firearms.

There are a lot of people, myself included, that have learned that lesson the hard. Now I avoid any interactions with the police like the plague.

Another good reason to never use your real identity when posting on the Interwebs.
Which is why Facebook/CIA is trying to end Interwebs anonymity.

This is similar to the new social score people are now getting in China, which if your score is low, you will not get opportunities.

It’s OK because they only use it on non-blacks and non-Muslims.

I hate the Police using Beware technology and the National Security Agency all spying on Americans without the required probable cause.

I am a software writer and am aware that some people will treat the output of software just as though it were gospel truth.
No matter what kind of junk the writer has actually cobbled together. I tend to be extremely conscientious about getting it right, but not all software writers do. Some give it a lick and a promise and somehow weasel it out the door.
Yup something like this is a scandal in waiting. At best it should only be something used to determine when to watch a situation more closely with conventional means. Never use the software as gospel with respect to an emergent situation.

Which is why Facebook/CIA is trying to end Interwebs anonymity. It is illegal to post on the internet using a pseudonym. Since it seems that most people ignore that law, I do not know how it will be enforced.
Not that I want it enforced. I like for people to be able to voice opinions without lunatic leftists being able to target their homes, cars, and places of employment.
