MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Among conservatives, Donald Trump can typically do no wrong — until he attacks Ted Cruz.
On Saturday, Trump drew boos from a grassroots conservative crowd during remarks at the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention for his attack on Cruz's previously undisclosed loans.
"You give a campaign contribution to Ted Cruz, you get whatever the hell you want," he said, before boos erupted from the crowd.
Trump went on as the boos grew louder: "Say whatever you want, it's okay, he didn't report his bank loans. He's got bank loans from Goldman Sachs, he's got bank loans from Citibank, folks, and then he acts like Robin Hood?"

This is supposed to be a Conservative forum. We have a fake Conservative running for president and a bunch of fake Conservative, and other assorted dim-witted posters supporting him. It will get worse.
As recently as 2013 liberal Trump praised as "Brilliant" former NY City mayor Michael Bloomberg for "putting his money where his mouth is on guns". Bloomgberg used his wealth to try to take guns from law-abiding citizens and liberal Donald Trump praised him for it. Again, that was 2013, yet now when he wants the conservative vote he says he supports the Second Amendment.
The man is a fraud.

Cruz was the first, and still the only serious candidate to call BS on the media hyenas trying to do there usual “stir up some shit and make all GOP candidates look bad”. Trump may feign being offended, but he is a media creation and if he is the nominee, they will turn on him with great vengeance and furious anger like never before (channeling Jules Winnfield)

But it did bring back some horrible memories of one of my babies. She’s grown up nicely though.
Trump likes Alito, Thomas and Scalia. He has mentioned them repeatedly. Cruz feels the same way.
I wouldn’t worry about Trump’s SCOTUS Appointments. Don’t forget that Reagan and both Bush’s screwed up with their Nominations. Heck, I’m still pissed that the Republicans didn’t stand up to the attacks on Robert Bork from Teddy.
If Hillary or Bernie get in, the SCOTUS will end up as a Rubber Stamp for every hair brained Socialist idea that comes up for the next 50 Years. It will be the Death of America as we know and love her. I’m worried about that.
That is why I like Cruz with Trump as my second choice.
Trump will be whatever he needs to be to fool the gullible into giving him their vote. And one need look no further than this forum to see how many gullible people there are in America.

He wants power and even more celebrity. I’m not sure about his core values.
And I’m not sure about Ted Cruz’s core values after he campaigned for Barack Obama’s trade agenda and penned a U. S. Senate bill massively increasing the american job killing H-1B visa program.
Fact is there is no ideal conservative candidate in this race. So one must weight the options and pick your candidate. I was a Cruz supporter for many years but have now switched to Trump because if we don’t build a wall nothing else matters. Unfortunately, Cruz has prevaricated on that issue and changed his position many times. Add in his globalist leanings and it’s a no brainer for me. Trump all the way.

You have it mainly backwards. The media tries to control the narrative and Trump won’t let them. Cruz does not fight back as much as Trump does. If Trump gets the nom he will double down on the media. If Cruz gets the nom he will hold or even backtrack on positions. Cruz is always “clarifying” and the media uses that as a sign of weakness. OTOH, Trump says yeah, I meant what I said and am not going to change it one iota.

Sorry to spoil your generality. Trump is a populist, not a conservative. He holds some conservative views on some things, but the reason he gets my support is that he stands up to the liberal media and proposes politically incorrect policies. Cruz has a strong conservative record and would be great. But were it not for Trump the media would have destroyed Cruz by now.
