Contra Rupert Murdoch's assertion about Trump having crossover appeal, Trump is extraordinarily unpopular with independent voters and Democrats. Gallup polling conducted over the past six weeks found Trump with a -27-percentage-point net favorability rating among independent voters, and a -70-point net rating among Democrats; both marks are easily the worst in the GOP field. (Trump also has less-than-spectacular favorable ratings among his fellow Republicans.)

Nate Silver's predictions on the 2012 election results were spot-on. Unlike many of the major polling organizations.

If you look at the number of times Ted Cruz has been on the Sunday Talk Shows, less than candidates who have dropped out, you can see who they are afraid of.

Yes and all revolved around the fact that O approval rate turned up just enough thanks to his tour of the hurricane damage in Nj with Criste the last week of Oct to get him over the hump
In June Trump had a “Never vote for him” rank of 67%, it 18% now. Long ways to go to Nov.
And, based on the polling numbers, quite a few of those who say they “don’t like Trump” are still saying they are going to vote for him

This is another desperate attempt to save the status quo. When campaign season gets underway and its Trump vs whomever the Dems nominate, Trump will win them over.
Will any of the wannabbees? Not a chance.

Leftist using a Leftist source to push a narrative. Why not use the Gold Standard, the Real Clear Politics averages? Ah but of course they don't sell the narrative Silver wants to push.
Favorability ratings can vary quite a bit from pollster to pollster, however, so I went back and collected a broader array of data. Specifically, I took an average of each candidateâs favorability ratings in polls from the Huffington Post Pollster database since Nov. 1.1

Not to mention Fox, which keeps giving both Trump and Rubio as much air time as possible, but rarely if ever puts Cruz on.
