Cruz gets confused because of the ice sheet that covers his native land for much of the year.
So he's got a defense...

Why would Trump (or his supporters) attack Cruz on this?
Trump is on record (heard him the other day) as saying this whole thing is a fraud too.

Cruz actually believes in dominant-human-caused climate change (no longer “global warming” just “weather”)?
Really? Cruz actually believes in this hokum? If so, he’s certainly useful to the Left’s efforts to use this and other nonsense as justification for more tyranny and less individual freedom.

I’m willing to bet Trump will start ridiculing Cruz over Twitter any hour now: “Ted denies science like he denies his Canadian heritage and his love of Goldman Sacks. Ted is a nasty denier.”

If true, I believe that the first 2 humans (big assumption here) that should be eliminated are Seth Borenstein and Scott Bauer, Associated Press...from there go after the people quoted in their “article”...

So not only do the scientists get to decide how much warming there is, they get to set the timeframes as well?

So they admit that temperatures haven’t gone up for 18 years.
AGW is so significant, so overwhelming that it’s world-destroying effects have been completely quashed by El Nino. For 18 years. Right.

The climate is directly linked to the sun. Other than pollution that we can control, we have no other power to change the climate. We can't make the sun do anything. It spits out its flames of ions and solar wind does damage we cannot control. Just like a tornado, we have to adapt to the fact that the sun shines and causes the climate to change.
This is what happens when the scientific community begins to lose their power of reason.

But by starting his comparison period in 1997, Cruz has selected a time when temperatures spiked because of an El Nino weather pattern. Starting at an artificially high point minimizes the rate of increase since then, Mears said, adding, "If you start riding your bike at the top of a big hill, you always go downhill, at least for a while."Yeah, they warming weenies never do that with arctic ice levels by starting from an all-time freak high level. Oh wait....
