Cruz actually believes in dominant-human-caused climate change (no longer “global warming” just “weather”)?

Really? Cruz actually believes in this hokum? If so, he’s certainly useful to the Left’s efforts to use this and other nonsense as justification for more tyranny and less individual freedom.

If true, I believe that the first 2 humans (big assumption here) that should be eliminated are Seth Borenstein and Scott Bauer, Associated Press...from there go after the people quoted in their “article”...

So not only do the scientists get to decide how much warming there is, they get to set the timeframes as well?

LOL

So they admit that temperatures haven’t gone up for 18 years.

AGW is so significant, so overwhelming that it’s world-destroying effects have been completely quashed by El Nino. For 18 years. Right.

The climate is directly linked to the sun. Other than pollution that we can control, we have no other power to change the climate. We can't make the sun do anything. It spits out its flames of ions and solar wind does damage we cannot control. Just like a tornado, we have to adapt to the fact that the sun shines and causes the climate to change.

This is what happens when the scientific community begins to lose their power of reason.

But by starting his comparison period in 1997, Cruz has selected a time when temperatures spiked because of an El Nino weather pattern. Starting at an artificially high point minimizes the rate of increase since then, Mears said, adding, "If you start riding your bike at the top of a big hill, you always go downhill, at least for a while."

Yeah, they warming weenies never do that with arctic ice levels by starting from an all-time freak high level. Oh wait....

"Fact check" my ass.

The writer is just using different measuring criteria that support their preferred outcome.

The very same thing they accuse Cruz, and the rest of us who believe the Global Climate Change bit is nothing but a statist scam, of doing.

Thermometers have been around a long time. Go back farther and you'll get an outcome thats supports just about every hypothesis.

More important is what's measured at the Earth's surface, where people live, Mears said. Those ground-based systems show a greater degree of warming.

If the instruments were properly sited and the data collected and interpreted honestly, he might have a point. However, given their (warming weenies) propensity to count temperature measurements taken in ludicrously inaccurate ways, the atmospheric ones are probably more trustworthy. There's no one there to put an AC unit under the thermometers or pave with black asphalt.

The fact that a business publication is preaching the “religion” of climate change is just another sign
of where the country is headed, regardless of who gets elected president.
