This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?
My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.
You and those who do this are abusing this thread.

Most of the Cruzers weren’t politically aware then, much less seen FR then, but you handled the Romney thing perfectly in 2012. I and others were very proud of you and in awe of your wisdom and commitment.

BFAC, I have seen you take way more than your fair share of the vituperative pure hate from those opposing and deriding the things you’ve posted. You’ve been personally ridiculed and criticized and called out as a liar and phony. Hang in there. Your posts have been very valuable contributions to this site.

Onyx is a genuine jewel as her name indicates. I saw that post and certainly do not agree with that.
People make inappropriate comments on every posting board, here and otherwise. Freedom of speech is important but it also allows for problem speech.
Due to the problem speech, I have given up posting on political threads.

What's hard for me is the hit threads. My feeling is, when they put up a piece of rock-solid nasty propaganda with slanted headlines and innuendo, they are asking for a raft of snark. It's hard to resist. But I try to keep it just sarcastic.
The ones who call names, tell people they're not Christian enough -- seriously, I hope they leave. I'd be willing to guess they are not big donors.

FYI the posters there, on that other site, are telling people not to contribute to FR. And making accusations about Jim and what he does with the contributions.
I am on that site supporting my fellow Cruz voters. I have not said anything nasty about Jom Robinson.
I am a devoted member—and donor— at FR. Before I joined in 2004, I lurked. The first time I can recall visiting FR was the summer of 2001.
Jim has been kind enough to clarify his position regarding Cruz. However, the fact remains that people who refuse to compromise their conservative ideals—even in a hypothetical situation— were banned. That is troubling to more than a few of us.

Their guy’s campaign is falling apart and they are angry, but why take it out on Jim, Jim supports Cruz ... and Trump. Makes no sense to me.

They are just like the people who criticize Rush but have never listened to 10 seconds of his radio program, yet they "know" exactly what he says and how he is.
I wish I could give a pop quiz to the Trump-haters asking a few questions about the things Trump says in EVERY SPEECH. Because they'd fail the test. They don't know what he says. They base their opinion on the TV show, which, by the way, *I* have never seen 10 seconds of.
Additionally, they refuse to read anything that comes out about Cruz that may challenge their preconceived notions and worsen their cognitive dissonance (which exacerbates their hate and over-the-top invective.)
Cruz is in a different situation, one voice among many when it takes many to get something done.
