Regrouping

JANUARY 22, 2016 ~ CONSISTENTCONSERVATIVES

This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?

My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.

>>If Cruz is the nominee, will you vote for him?

For the hundredth time, yes. Most of us “Trumpers” want a Trump/Cruz ticket. Of course, if the Cruz/Beck junta continues to grow the crazy, who knows.

The “R” under “voter type” stands for “Registered,” not for Republican.

The “R” under “Ballot Type” stands for “Regular,” not for Republican.

Good catch zeestephen but I think you got it backwards.

See page 32 of this 2013 Annual Report from the Board of Elections - The City of New York:

http://vote.nyc.ny.us/downloads/pdf/documents/boe/AnnualReports/BOEAnnualReport13.pdf

In the column Voter Type, the R stands for Regular Voter as opposed to: E-Special; F-Federal; H-R(Mail Address); M-Military; O-Overseas or P-Permanent Absentee. I am not sure what all those designations mean but none of them have to do with party registration. Military, Overseas and Permanent Absentee are fairly obvious, but I can’t find any keys or designations for the others. But it has nothing to do with party registration at the time the vote was cast.

Ballot Type would be R for Regular or A for Absentee.

On the voting record print out, the registration date is the date the person first registered to vote in Manhattan (and Trump has said that prior to 1987 he was registered in Queens), and the Enrollment, i.e. Republican, would indicate the voter’s party registration at the time the printout was made.

That explains a lot if that last document is real. Do you believe it to be real? When that image was first posted it came from a Web site that has a dubious history on truth. I’ve not seen any other more official source for it - and it clearly the same image with all the distortion.

Received word that disgruntled FReepers are passing the above message around underground. Let's get it aboveboard.

For those who are leaving us, thank you all vbery much for your past participation and support.

Thank you Jim. It shows real class and extremely high integrity ( which we all know you have ) doing this, I mean showing this "above board" in public. It should hopefully help mend fences when our FRiends come to their senses and stop whining.

TO OUR "PURE" FRIENDS ... For the love of God, the Heller Second Amendment case which protects an individual's right to possess a firearm ... was a 5-4 decision! Yet some want to gamble on the next election where 4 or 5 Supreme Court seats could be on the line.

By "gambling" I mean running an ideological purity test as if this election was 30-40 years ago when we could sell a boutique conservative in the twelve swing states. Then they condemn others as giving up their principles for considering another candidate.

That 5-4 Heller case going the other way puts us right at the brink of Civil War, the real kind, at least for those of us not crying and running away when the heat is on in an election season. Wake up FRiends, your enemy is not here at this or any other conservative website!

Just chill and make peace with your FRiends here, no-one is forcing anyone to vote for anybody. And unless I'm mistaken it sounds like Jim has left the door open at least for the voluntary quitters. ( Man, if you think this is tough you ain't read about the 1770's, 1783-1787, 1797-1800, 1861-1865, and on and on and on. This election is uneventful by comparison, but definitely entertaining. ) IMHO speaking for myself and no-one else.

The gaps in the years....as stated look at the years.

You must have special vision to see gaps that aren't there. The rest looks like a creative writing exercise on your part.

I don’t miss them. Sour Grape conservatives don’t make fine wine.

The operational definition of an "Establishment Republican", is that he would rather see the Democrats win, than a Republican who is not one of "his people".

Agree. This saddens me all the bickering that’s apparently been going on. Sounds like childish BS for the most part. Just for the record I will vote for whomever I believe the country needs right now and I don’t care if that candidate doesn’t agree with me on every single little issue, or more than likely does but is wisely picking and choosing their battles, because I am not going to the polls to elect a pastor, I’m going to cast a vote for the person I believe is passionate about turning the country around in ways that mean something to me and has the intelligence and leadership qualities to succeed at it, also it’s important that they be someone who can beat the opponent in the general election. Therefor Trump/Cruz 2016.

Disproved. Trump has been proven to be a dimocrat as late as 2009. Quit posting Russian blogger’s falsehoods.

Whew, where to begin?

Over the last few months, I have been appalled at the mudslinging that has gone on here.

And make no mistake-BOTH SIDES ARE RESPONSIBLE.

It’s like when a couple of siblings are fighting, and each one says the other one started it, and the parents tell them that doesn’t matter, and to just shut up.

There are posters here whose only apparent reason for being is to throw personal insults at those they disagree with.

One in particular comes to mind. He went completely overboard, and abandoned all pretense of participating in discussion and debate, and instead went personal against anyone who disagreed, and was particularly nasty. He returned to his old ways after a temporary suspension, and now his zot appears to be permanent, and richly deserved.

And to those crybabies on that other site, take a good look in the mirror, and think about how you and your allies have conducted yourselves.

And to some of you on the other side, the same applies to you.

To the people who are whining about how poorly Mark Levin has been treated here, look in the mirror, and think about how the same treatment has been given to Sarah Palin. And then think about what would have happened if she chose to endorse Cruz instead. Who would be cheering and who would be whining?

Hypocrisy is not something that is unique to people on the left.

Here’s a fact for all to consider (something I’ve said before):

If the Cruz people at FR succeed in winning over every Trump supporter, or if the Trump people on FR succeed in winning over every Cruz supporter, the outcome of the election would be EXACTLY THE SAME.

The last perfect candidate died (or more correctly, was executed by His government) about 2000 years ago. And when He returns, I don’t think He will be running for any office.

In the meantime, both Cruz and Trump have their flaws, and both have their strengths. Both have said and done things that bother me, and both have said and done things that I can applaud.

I will be happy to have the opportunity to vote for either of them in the general. As for the primary, I am in a late primary state, and I am fairly certain the nominee will be obvious by then, so my primary vote will be irrelevant.

But who knows?

Anyway, thank you Jim for everything, and God bless you and yours!

In order for Cruz to win in the general he has to clear up the Canadian birth issue. When I hear someone saying Cruz is too right wing, I say did you know he was born in Canada? At first they don’t believe me, and then they lash into Cruz even more! I see a dead man walking.

You know the site that came from has a dubious history of making things up.

You just can't give it up. It was a part of a hit piece against Trump by PBS (occupation media).

Some logic there. If you can't refute it, you make up conspiratorial claims.

But whatever it takes to win right?

Not my place to answer since you are the one doing the projecting.

If your CAT is the GOP nominee, I will vote for your cat. How’s that?

Unless your cat wins from a brokered convention. Then not so sure.

Now, will you vote for my cat?
