This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?
My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.
Of course. I don’t expect anyone to listen to me. I know that my opinion is just that, my opinion. I know that not everyone will read it or agree with it. If people choose to be divisive, the folly is but their own.

You didn’t call me any names in your post. I thank you for that. I wish it were that way every time from all of us..and I try to be that way as well. I slip from time to time but that’s not an excuse. Trying to make it better. It’s not that difficult really.
TBBT, Tzfat,, and mconley22 were all banned today by JR in a thread where the article talked about not voting for Trump if he's the nominee. Jim told each one "screw you" and they were gone. Colonel_Flogg looks to be in trouble as well. This has gotten ridiculous. We support Cruz for Pete’s sake. And were the outsiders?I find that hard to believe and suspect there is more to the story. But regardless of which party is at fault, it's really disturbing. I think the one way we can guarantee a loss in this election is to start attacking each other. Ironically, this is my major complaint with Trump so far; his attacks seem to mostly be against fellow Republicans, and the liberal media is just eating that up.

I do know that the Republican nominee will be a Proud American who will not be making an "Apology Tour" as his first act as President.
A nominee that does not think all the worlds problems are America's fault.
I was for Cruz and only Cruz before Trump appeared on the scene.
I switched to Trump for the same reasons a lot of us have. In spite of his celebrity. Despite his crass New York attitude.
I switched for what I see as Trump’s strengths, not out of any dislike for Cruz.
I can understand why many conservatives will stick with Cruz.
What I can do without, what most of us here can do without, are the insulting comments made by the zealots on both sides of this contest.

But if you recall it was the Cal GOPE that shoved Tom McClintock out of the way to open the path for Arnold. Arnold was their choice, he wasn’t the choice of the grassroots activists who had taken down Gray Davis. The GOPe had formed a donor group called The New Majority and they provided the big money backing Arnold.
GOPE mouthpiece Hugh Hewitt was one of the hacks spreading the claim that McClintock couldn’t win and that the world would end if we ran him instead of Arnold.

Never give up the fight. There isn’t much in the way of self-restraint nowadays. I get that folks want to win and that’s ok. But do we have to engage in friendly fire towards those who will be called upon to support the other candidate when the time comes? The vitriol, acrimony and rancor are palpable. But it’s misdirected.
Engage with the nasty posters, those who insist on keeping score, those who claim that because “so and so did it, I was compelled to respond in kind.”, etc., etc., ad nauseum.
I’ve seen some pretty vile posts, more so than last couple of elections and I admit, it’s discouraging.
If we FReepers won’t keep house, who will? It is up to all of us here, not just the mods and JR to try and help keep the threads and discussions civil.
With the exception of the obvious trolls, every FReeper is important.
Cruz is my top dog and I already stated, quite clearly, that Trump is my “hold my nose” second.
In the Primary, Ted will get my vote and I will be at my Precinct and District BPOU elections. Not sure if I have time for the State convention in May, but I will be putting my name up for election either way.
