There is a new game in town and they are slow to see it and I can’t blame them. They have been brainwashed by decades of being told that the destruction of the American industrial base to foreign interests and constant trade deficits where signs of “economic freedom”. Free Trade is their religion and certain talk show hosts have been egging them on. One of the most famous of them wrote several children’s educational books about the founding of the USA but failed to mention that the Revolutionary War was fought for and to establish economic protects against British Mercantilism. How would such a huge fact be left out of such a noble endeavor?

I am with you. Cruz or Trump is OK with me although I am leery that the Donald may not deliver much conservative policies to his administration if he becomes president. Either one of these guys would be VASTLY superior to communist Clinton and Sanders. At least we know that Trump loves America and will do what he has to do to protect us from the third world invasion.

This quote needs wider circulation:

“We can thank Trump for single-handedly taking out JEB, the media, the GOPe & their big donors and even setting the dems back a notch or two. And he has barely spent any money doing it while the corrupt GOPe and related PACs have wasted tens if not hundreds of millions trying to hold on to their power base. And I don’t feel humiliated a bit. Grateful that PC is being destroyed and the rules rewritten.” Jim Robinson

Some people are unhappy that quite a few of us who last spring were Cruzers have flipped to Trump. While he may not be a conservative as Cruz, he stands a much better chance of surviving the media onslaught and the Democrats dirty tricks.
We MUST win this election. If we lose, we lose MUCH more than an election.
We likely will lose our country.
We MUST elect a President who will try to reinstate the rule of law when it comes to fraudulently documented foreigners and stop the illegal alien inundation.

If everybody just stuck to expressing positive opinions about their candidate all would be good.

Some think think they have to crush the ping pong ball.

I say they try USENET and see how much they like it.

I don't understand the premise.

If Trump hadn't run, what would these "consistent conservatives" have done?

They would have bickered and circular-argumented themselves to death about who was more conservative, Christie/Huckabee/Bush/Rubio/Fiorina. Cruz would have been completely destroyed by the media/Dems and Paul is a non-factor.

They would have continued to make excuses for the same failed Congressional Republicans who have given away their Constitutional powers to Obama. And urging us to support them because, you know SCOTUS justices or whatever.

We KNOW Trump is not a conservative. But he cares about the four biggest issues out there: Immigration, Jobs, Trade, and Islam.

It is almost as if someone is intentionally dividing Free Republic. I’m not talking about the letter. It is a symptom. We used to be able to disagree and get along anyway. Is this no longer possible?

Go Cruz!
No-Go Trump!

For the nomination anyway.

Go either for the general election!
