Texas is not the only state—and I doubt it’s the only solid conservative state—with a sore loser law. An independent run by Cruz is a non-starter at this point.

“Half the fun on FR these days is watching the melt down of the Cruz idol worshipers.”

OMG, the heads exploding is about as entertaining as seeing a lib in denial at the truth.

Cruz is much wiser than to ever even contemplate doing this.

All the fun on FR in the coming months and years, if Trump wins, is going to watch Trump idol worshipers twist themselves into pretzels and knots trying to explain why Trump is not who they have been pretending he is.

It will be epic.

You have ‘sore loser’ laws, required registration dates, etc for all this to be viable.
Example Texas requires a Dec. 14, 2015 filing date....

They would never choose Cruz. He’s their arch-enemy.

Could you imagine the adverts Trump could make about Bloomie’s “small soda and no salt for you” policy.

*********************************************

“Nanny” Bloomberg .... the ads write themselves, especially if Trump’s team is doing it because they are bold & will take off the gloves.

The electoral college would be fractured anyway with Bloomberg on the ballot.

Okay, tell me what Dem state would vote for Bloomberg. Or which swing states would go third party? Because you would have to have at least one large state or several small states go for a 3rd party before the election got tossed into the House.

This Bloomturd thing is only being discussed because the internals must show that DJT can win New York. He’d hope to pick off enough votes to prevent that.

That is the only reason this is being mentioned.

“He represents entitled pro-Wall Street billionaires who think everyone else should live by strict gun control”

Don’t forget trans-fat, salt and sugary drinks control!

This Cruz supporter will SUPPORT and VOTE for Cruz in the primary; and then vote for Trump in the general, regardless of who is running Indy.

That would be a nightmare, it would be Ginsburg on steroids. Well with Sanders it would be her or him on weed.

I want Cruz, but will vote for Trump. Like hell do I want Clinton or Sanders. If we thought fairy by is or has destroyed this country imagine those two whack jobs being elected.

No. He won’t win a two-way race for President. He won’t wina 3-way or 4-way race, either.

Poor presentation. He is a salesman for conservative features, but not conservative benefits. He’s not “retail.” Too cerebral. “Smartest kid in the 6th grade.” He’s a good guy, but not the guy.

"Cruz should be required to sign a pledge."

Cruz signed the pledge to support the GOP nominee, all candidates were required to do so. So no Cruz is not going to run as an independent.
