Right before heading to church, Donald Trump ripped Ted Cruz's campaign on Sunday morning for sending mailers to Iowa voters designed to look like official documents that accuse them of a "VOTING VIOLATION" for failure to turn out in past elections.
"The Cruz campaign issued a dishonest and deceptive get out the vote ad calling voters 'in violation,'" Trump tweeted. "They are now under investigation. Bad!" Trump's comments come after Iowa's top elections official condemned the mailers on Saturday, though he did not announce any investigation.
Republican Secretary of State Paul Pate said in a statement that Cruz's mailers, which has the words "official public record" printed in red at the top, "misrepresents the role of my office, and worse, misrepresents Iowa election law."
"There is no such thing as an election violation related to frequency of voting," said Paul, who was elected statewide as a Republican in 2014. "Any insinuation or statement to the contrary is wrong and I believe it is not in keeping in the spirit of the Iowa Caucuses."

Your link is defective.
Cruz is not ready for prime time.
Trump is starting to wear thin on me. I’d still vote for him over Hillary, but I’m must saying.
I’d like for him to start telling me what he’d actually do on several things. Like on Healthcare. Is he really still backing single payer? I mean come on he should be talking about his changed position on that by now.
Also I’d like to see less name calling. The anti-PC was great at first, but now it’s becoming more of a 3 ring circus show that has gone too long. Attacking back is great...keep that up but then also pivot and explain what he’ll do to help us.

Maybe Cruz didn’t personally authorize the mailers. But Cruz DID personally defend them in his usual arrogant way, so this is ON HIM.
Can you say sucking chest wound? :-)
He might have just written a letter to each of the voters...Hey Bud...get off your a** and go to the caucus....and take your lazy neighbors with you.
Go to Donaldjtrump.com. his policies you ask about are laid out in black and white.
I think Cruz has lost his compass.
He needs to TALK about them though. Tell the American people—otherwise he is starting to come off as just a populist anti-PC guy.
Trump needs to demand the release of the Clinton Foundation-Trump documents before any primary elections. We need to see what’s in them.
‘Bad!’
lol Don, Ted is just jettisoning his apple pie shell and coming down to fight you in your neighborhood.
No more Mr. Nice guy, indeed. I wonder how his staff is taking this: are they itching to finally shiv Camp Trump, or did they collapse onto the fainting chaise like I did yesterday, murmuring for smelling salts?
I'm gonna say.......over 250
It appears that both Cruz and Rubio are not ready for prime time. Both are first time Senators and we already have one in the White House.
Does anybody know why Cruz became involved with Beck?
Ok please help me find his healthcare plan/policy. I went to the site and I only see the following positions: 1) Trade with Chine 2) VA Reform 3) Tax reform 4) Second Amendment 5) Immigration Where is healthcare? This is a very very big issue to me as I have been screwed by Obamacare. I want Trump to say he will repeal it and replace with ___________________.
I’m sorry Trump is too complicated for you. Perhaps a low energy candidate like Jeb is more suitable for your electoral needs.
Yep. And those who want to pass it off as political business as usual fail to consider the least brightest among us or the poor old granny who are now freaking out because they somehow think they've broken the law.
Resorting to scare tactics is just inherently wrong.
