Actually, it really is a rebellion
February 10, 2016 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 02/10/2016 11:44:39 AM PST by Jim Robinson

As much as I love Cruz as a conservative, there really is a voter rebellion underway and it may be unstoppable. Despite all the denials, the simple truth is the voters really are fed-up and really are up in arms against the establishment.

Trump's message is exactly what the voters are looking for:

Build the wall, enforce the law, deport them all, slap a moratorium on Muslim immigration, bomb the hell out of ISIS, cut the taxes, cut the spending, cut the regulations, cut the government, cut the bad trade deals, cut the political correctness crap, bring back capital, bring back manufacturing, bring back jobs, get the economy back on track, rebuild the military so no one messes with us and make America great again!

It's a winning message.

The rallies are real.

The pent up anger is real.

The rebellion is real!

GOPe RINOs Bush, Rubio, Kasich, et al, stand no chance whatsoever.

We still have hope for conservative Cruz to pull it out, but this is Trump's Rebellion to lose.

Go, Cruz, GO!!

Go, Trump, GO!!

Either way, we win, they lose.

Imagine Cruz returning to the Senate to be Majority Leader concurrent with a Trump administration, kicking the feckless “Mitch” to the curb as a backbencher where he belongs.

Instead of the Senate shunning Cruz in the current context where they want to quitely “Get along” with 0obomma, they would have to stand up and work to shared expectations of the Pres and senate majority leader together.

Hope I’m not not just dreaming here. This would set up Ted for a slam dunk presidential run in 4 or 8 years, driving the fair squaw Lieawatha Warren to a humiliating defeat along the way.

Hey, I’m all for Cruz in the primary. But if Trump gets the nomination, I’m all in for Trump in the general.

“I believe Cruz is a more consistent conservative, but would be unwilling to wield power to the extent now necessary to fix our problems.”

That’s about the size of it. Trump is not just our best bet; he is our only bet.

NO kidding! Nothing but snide comments - a one-trick-pony full of snark. An actor that struts and frets his hour upon the stage - then is (hopefully) heard no more.

Never.

Cruz all the way, he is the only thing standing in the way of a socialist in the White House

EXACTLY! This cannot be repeated often enough. The American people are totally fed up with the establishment beltway, ruling class of oligarchs.

There are those who are quick to state that Donal Trump’s viewpoint is dystopian - I beg to differ ...

He is a realist, looking at the American sociopolitical landscape as it now truly exist after seven years of Barrack Obama and 50 years of unrestrained liberal activism ...

The corollary to this non candy-coated assessment is that Trump also well understands what could be. So, while our glass is half empty, Trump believes and insists that Americans still possess both the spirit and ingenuity to make this nation’s glass overflow with prosperity and righteousness - hence Trump’s campaign theme of “Make America Great Again!”

Bet on his socialism shining thru and thru if he manages to secure the nomination.

I’ll take that to the bank.

{Hey, I’m all for Cruz in the primary.}

As many times as we Cruz supporters have been punched in the mouth with, “JimRob says he loves Trump”, I sure wish you would’ve been that forthright before now.

There are two things going on and it really marks the division...and to the brilliant one who can pull it together...

We have said there are two Americas culturally for quite some time, but last night as I laid in bed falling asleep listening to Bernie Sanders giving his 30 minute speech...

Does anyone realize how fed up Democrats actually are? Hell, Bernie was calling for “revolution of the American voter.” He is calling for REVOLUTION.

And on the other side of this coin, conservatives are acknowledging we are indeed in open REBELLION.

We live in very, very interesting times.

Yes it’s true it’s Trump’s to lose I just hope we do “win” if he’s elected. I realize he says all the right things but talk is cheap.

You’re right though it’s a rebellion and if Trump is who people want, then that’s the reality of the situation and no use in denying it.

I will still vote for Cruz when my primary comes. Unless he drops out before then.

I fail to understand how so many deny that Trump is running as a conservative.

Nobody argues that Trump is running as a conservative, only whether Trump actually is a conservative. His campaign speeches indicate that he is, but a great many of his recent pre-campaign statements declare opposite views. The pragmatist George W. Bush ran as a conservative but we learned after his election that he never really was. If Trump wins the nomination, we will be left to pray that his professed conversion is real and lasting.

What is the point of winning if you have to sell out your principles to do so?

You seem to be a little bit confused. How will building the wall and getting rid of Obamacare "sell out your principles?"
