Trump has standing because he is running against Cruz on the same ballot.

No, one does not have standing unless one can demonstrate they have suffered harm.

Trump has standing because he is running against Cruz on the same ballot. But that's not a ballot for President of the United States, it's a ballot for the Republican nomination. Any legal challenges about citizenship are technically premature for the nomination.
In other words, if Cruz gets the nomination, those with standing to sue are the Democrat nominee and nominees/candidates from minor parties.

It’s also Trump getting headlines and bringing attention to Cruz’s slimy campaign. All art of the deal tactics: make a claim to get attention but the real attention is to Cruz’s ads and so forth. Smart Trump.

Trump has standing because he is running against Cruz on the same ballot. What damages has he suffered?

There are no Constitutional issues involved in “running for President”.
