Sorry, Pope Francis: Christians Are Carrying Trump In South Carolina

GREENVILLE, S.C.--Jim Moseley considers himself a "Christian soldier." On Thursday, he drove to the Cross Way religious bookstore in Greenville, S. C., the most devout region in one of America's most devout states, to buy his girlfriend an anniversary card inscribed with a Bible verse.

On Saturday, the 58-year-old salesman will vote in a critical Republican presidential primary. And he will vote for an insult-spewing casino developer from New York who has said he has never once asked God for forgiveness, curses without provocation, used to support abortion rights and speaks proudly of his own greed.

Easy decision.

Moseley explained himself with a metaphor adapted from Genesis. Nobody but Donald Trump, he said, can cut off the head of America's snake: bad decisions made on account of political correctness.

"It's about progress, not perfection. His good far outweighs his bad," Moseley said. "We all fall short. I'm a Christian, and I say a cuss word every now and then. I get angry. He just happens to say what we all want to say, what we all feel. And that's why we like him so much. Because he speaks our feelings."

Near Greenville up by the North Carolina border, ninth on one list of "Bible-minded cities," it's hard to drive five minutes without seeing a church. And you can't walk in without finding fans of a man one Baptist leader called "the embodiment of everything that evangelical Christians have been standing against in American culture." It's about feelings.

Pope Francis said Thursday Trump was "not Christian" for his desire to build "walls," like a barrier on the Mexican border, rather than build "bridges." But most of South Carolina's Christians are not in a bridge-building mood.

If you get a chance view Pastor Robert Jeffress video on why the Pope should apologize to Mr. Trump. It was awesome.

The way I feel is that the Pope is going to see the Castro Brothers who have killed and jailed many of their opponents over the past 50 years, and the Pope has less to say about their Christian beliefs than he has to say about Trump’s.

Trump has been a charitable man for decades, if the Pope cared to look at the people and organizations Trump and his family have helped he might change his mind.

St. Jude’s for instance has one of the Trump Sons on their board and over the years he has raised over $20 million dollars for the hospital. But did you hear about this?
Trump does lots of stuff in a quiet way and not just before an election.

Few of the Christians are Catholics so they just consider the Pope a heretic anyway.

Where could we find the Jeffress video? It must be recent if the pope’s statements are mentioned.

I saw him on Fox this morning, with Fox’s priest commentator (I think “Jonathan” something), discussing this. Jeffress was very strong about how extremely Biblical — mandatory, even — it is for walls to exist to protect citizens. He provided corresponding scripture references, including Nehemiah.

The priest agreed with the pope on the wall issue. He only disagreed on the “not a Christian” statement by the pope, and that was lukewarm. Jonathan is between a rock and a hard place.

No I repeat No other candidate in either wing of the Uniparty will build the wall. It is as simple as that.

Jorge does not believe born again Christians are Christians. He repeatedly slanders us as “dangerous.”

Helicondelta, evidently you've confused christians - members of the repentant and forgiven body of Christ - with those who've perverted forgiveness of sin into the permission to sin coveted by the body that operates in the spirit of anti-Christ.

Do you know (or even care about) the difference between forgiveness and permission?

When an interviewer recently called Lady Gaga the "Billy Graham of pop," she claimed,

"I'm teaching people to worship themselves."

http://www.christianitytoday.com/women/2011/may/lady-gaga-wheres-outrage.html

Rom 1:25-27
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

That’s good. All true.

I don’t think the pope himself gives a rat’s ass about Trump. If he’d made the condemnation from the Vatican, well, that would’ve been weird. But he was in Mexico, wasn’t he? There’s this Mexico / Catholic / Bush / Mexico / Bush / Catholic connection. My instincts are telling me the Bush Royal Family could have instigated for Jeb’s benefit.

I know Jeb didn’t support the pope’s statement saying Trump isn’t a Christian. But he didn’t criticize the pope for statements about a wall being bad thing.

Conspiracy theories abound. :)

That theory is at the extreme between delusional conjecture and outright fantasy

I prefer the pawn theory. the Pope was acting as a pawn of the Catholic Mexican government. He is henceforth the Pawn. Pawn Francis

This Catholic considers this “pope” to be a heretic, a Communist, a hypocrite and overall interloper that is further damaging the religion with his SJWism.

He needs to STFU and enjoy the safety of his own walled fortress. Whore.
